Jimmy I have no argument with your point about the backflips, I'm just trying to work out if any of them were overturned within 48 hours as you originally claimed all Labors announcements were?

Sadly redandblack is no longer with us on this forum, but I'm sure if he is still watching lovingly over us he'd be thinking something along the lines of: "Good on you fishy for fighting the good fight and exposing the, ahem, exaggerations [ ] of posters on the forum".

Meanwhile can anyone else help Jimmy out by providing an example where this Labor Government overturned an announcement within 48 hours?

You are right - they aren't that smart to do it quickly, or maybe it's a ploy to help JW come and save the day.
With so many backflips, you'd think they would have learnt by now.

And can anyone help Fish find his "previous" button? Run out of new things to say Fish?

Jimmy_041 wrote:Yeah, you're right - sorry - an exaggeration - it takes them far longer to react.
48 hours only takes them into the defend stage.
It takes a lot longer to move through the other stages towards capitulation and JW swoops in to save the day

And nobody needs to help this govt look bad - they do it so perfectly themselves.

You know you've gone right off the deep end when you're linking to a far-right conspiracy theory place like Prison Planet.

Excellent post.

The overhwhelming sadness attached to this post is that not only are all of these people currently running our state, but they appear to be better placed to remain doing so than be replaced by others.

Sad, sad, sad.

Well done Jimmy you finally found one! =D>

I reckon this one took much less than 48 hours for the Government to backflip too. IIRC the story broke in the morning and the Government had decided to overturn the law by that evening!

Interesting, though, that according to this article, the law was supported by the Liberal Party when it went through Parliament the year before!

While Jimmy's trying to distract everyone...

AUDIO of a heated meeting to discuss the Liberal Party's failed marginal seat campaign at the last South Australian state election has been posted online, in another blow to embattled Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond.

The audio, apparently secretly recorded by a Liberal Party member in March last year, has been published by the Independent Australia website.

The extract from the meeting includes Ms Redmond angrily claiming credit for lifting the profile of Matthew Donovan, the candidate for the southern Adelaide seat of Mawson.

Liberal MP Terry Stephens is also heard on the recording accepting Mr Donovan's invitation to “step outside” and sort out their disagreement.

A spokesman for Ms Redmond said she had listened to the audio and confirmed its authenticity, but had no comment.

The audio emerged as the fallout continued today from Ms Redmond's admission to having seriously considered quitting state parliament for a tilt at the Senate.
