Why is SA doing so really poorly in the draft and rookies?
Taken from SA including senior AFL players recycled
are SA 18 from Victoria 74.
That's 4 to 1.
To my mind a pretty disappointing result.

Not far from the ratio of populations. You always try to do better but with the yearly fluctuations of this sort of business it's far from a disaster.

What is this rumour of the Eagles recruiting a ruckman from interstate? Thought they only poached from other clubs and promote juniors....

South have announced 3 new recruits...

http://www.safc.com.au/news?target=LatestNews

Mitch Farmer, Scott Dixon and Adam Flagg

The Mitch Farmer is NOT the Mitch Farmer what was previously with the Panthers, when he was aligned to South as a Power listed player, who then got traded to Richmond...

This opens up an interesting Trivia question... name players with the same name who played for the same team. What is the smallest time gap between such appearances - has a team ever fielded two such players at the same time?

The Bays have had a couple of Brad Smiths in recent years.

Not quite the same, but a couple of years ago, the Bloods had 3 x B.Fisher's in their team, if my memory serves me correct...

Brayden, Brad and Ben...

One of those Brad Smith's play at Ironbank?

There were a couple of Nathan Browns running around the junior grades in the Riverland at around the same time as there were two in the AFL.

Centrals have had two Yves Sibenaler - uncle/nephew combo

One of my favourite footy trip stories relates to him and a chocolate wheel.

Yes, and I'm pretty sure there were 2 x Nathan Browns at West Adelaide (same ones, I think?), with one being the former Melbourne AFL player. Just not sure they played League together, that's all. The other Nathan Brown also played at North, if memory serves me correct, and also plays in Darwin?
