I wonder if he makes the same interesting comments when playing Smithfield?

Has been some great chases in modern time, South Africa's 434 springs to mind, Australia miracle in Adelaide in 06/07 Ashes is another one, But Alex Cotters chase down and goal to win the game for Trinity on Saturday would rank right up there with the best of the lot..

All i'll say about the goal umpiring issue is he doesn't mind who the opposition is he wont change his ways

From what I saw and from what some of our lads were saying Saturday night the Smithfield lads aren't that bad to play against. There was no carry on, no yellow cards etc. Just a good game of footy until the last quarter in the Agrade from our point of view.

Yes Cotter's chase would rate up there - to chase down the Ingle Farm winger who had a paddock in front of him then go back and calmly slot the goal from 50 on a tough angle was pure class.

Showed that a quality player doesn't need much of it to hurt a team - think he only had 3x kicks for the days, all in the last qtr, all goals.

It was a good show of leadership from the big rig to step up in the last qtr, he kicked 4 goals for the day but was robbed of 1 by our team manager, much to Cottsy's dismay!

Think you'll find it was Zorich who had the contentious call from the goal umpire, Cotts wouldn't really appreciate the confusion there!

Yeah, it was a big chase & classy finish, but far from the classiest set shot of the day ;)

Disappointing to let the lead slip, but we move on to next week.

OK, I've had a couple of people request I bring back my 3 things I learnt.

1. All games in division 6 seem to be played in good spirits
2. I still don't know what is going on with the oval markings, some kicks seemed to travel much further than others even when going up the hill. I didn't mind the oval, it just was hard to read depth at times.
3. If you are over 100kg & know how to use your body, you are hard to move

Maybe the league should make him change his ways! Don't need officials carrying on like that. I hope he gets up on the goal line in future, even Zorich made the comment that he cant kick that far...lol

If it's brought to the leagues attention by official means (rather than whinging on here), the bigger likelihood of something happening.

Hard to argue with any of those 3 points.. The oval is a tricky one, first time ive been involved in a game on it and wasn't easy to adapt.. Certainly prefer Waldeck (our usual oval) but we play where we are put.. Having said that I think IF 'B' grade would have exposed our lack of work ethic and spread on the weekend, was very impressed with the way they played

11.15.81 to 3.5.23 = 26 scoring shots to 8... tough critic - no wonder you're top

Happy to get the win, but sometimes (all the time) I take more out of how we played than the result.. All the boys said after the game that if you didn't know the score through out the game then you wouldn't have said we won by 10 goals, felt a lot more even out there than that
