And I think for many it was a nice change away from the other 3 that had collected the last 15 between them. Whilst I always wish my club could win it, if they can't it's great for the comp to see new blood emerge (pardon the pun).

Other four clubs (to be picky), including Sturt in '02, but point well made.

Oops my bad .. I'd feel bad for that slip, but it's only Sturt ... (Oh G'day Theri ;) )

To be fair, JK, you were referring to clubs that had won multiple flags in that period.
That one premiership appears an aberration at this point ;)

Sure didn't take long for Norwood supporters to get annoying did it.
Anyway, era's over, three in a row is all you're getting so enjoy it while you can. I personally believe if you haven't won at least 4 in a row then your club is shit. ;)

Actually, I'll correct myself.
Let's make that 5 in a row as the bench mark for not being shit!

6 mate, it's always been 6 but, for the purposes of this exercise, I'll grant that more than 4 in a row is worthy of acknowledgement.

Basic Latin:
molestus: troublesome, tiresome, intrusive, annoying, obtrusive, burdensome.
quia: because.

I'd have thought quia mirabilia would have been more accurate though...

In my early teens I used to write little poems starting "Puer stetit in pupo incenda.." - "The boy stood on the burning deck..."
(In strict Latin - Puer in pupo incenda stetit, but it wrecks the rhythm of the ditty.)

ethay oybay oodstay onay ethay urningbay eckday doesn't work well though.

Try this one - it actually makes sense in correctly translated Latin as well as if read as English:

Caesar, adsum iam forte
Brutus aderat
Caesar, sic in omnibus
Brutus in is at.

Typical problem with this forum. Just can't discuss footy without unprovoked conversations in Latin breaking out.
