Great finish, weird field set for the last ball.

We are gonna struggle in the world t20 I reckon.

Seemed to not back himself to use his variety that he is famed for. The best ball he bowled was the one that got hit for 6

Few blokes who were excellent in Big Bash have been showed up at the next level.

Makes picking the final team of 15 very interesting.

Tait probably gone, Tye and Boland be nervous, Lyon unlikely, even Lynn against spin a worry, not sure about Head.

Lots of interesting decisions ahead!

Good call, none of them have really grabbed their opportunity besides Boyce (and that was a year or two ago)

Yep just shows how much weaker the BBL is for having 8 teams in it

To much $$$$$ to the ACB to change it to less than 8. I wouldnt mind betting it will be 10 teams by 2017-2018 if the crowds stay up. It's all about $$$$$$ not quality of cricket.

I think we're missing the real issue here, India has a population of 1.3 billion compared to our 24 million, they sent over a team that is better at T20 than ours.
We had no Starc which IMO weakens our bowling attack considerably with not only him not being there, the pressure it releases from the other end too.
We need a keeper that can bat at a quick rate and I really think Behrendorf should be considered, Dan Christian was one of the in-form allrounders during the BBL so if they were going to roll the dice on bringing a couple of hasbeens back in, he probably should've been in the mix.
I think more good than harm will come out of this series, hopefully the selectors can acknowledge their flaws.

Tait has been excellent. His 6 overs per match have been very handy.

Behrendorff has been diagnosed with stress fractures in his back again.
Wouldn't hurt to find some bowlers who swing the ball. That's why we failed to get through their top order. Raw speed plays very little part in T20 cricket, especially when you are such flat decks, it just makes batting easier as it hits the bat harder.

Tait swings it, he can swing it from wide outside off all the way to miles down leg in just moments.

What's wrong with setting a deep cover on the fence, straightish cover, long off, long on, straightish midwicket, deep midwicket on the fence and just pitching the ball up at the pegs?

Seriously, fast bowlers have never been likely to play for the BMW on Sale of the Century and showing "all the variety" under the sun means **** all if you are bowling puss. Cricket is cricket, in any form, bowl to a spot, set a field and if the batsmen are good enough to hit it away from the field then good on them. Fielders scampering from all corners of the field, captains pointing like they're listening to the Village People doing YMCA and bowlers wondering WTF is going on.

Vince McMahon will have his eye on T20 already.

Tait was less expensive than Tye and a smidgen more than Boland.

The problem is the difference between Tait's best and worst bowling is light-years apart. There have been plenty worse though that have represented our country and bowling in a T20 wouldn't be the most flattering job, especially against India.

I was just having a similar discussion over the weekend as a mate and I discussed Dennis Lillee.

30 years ago, you had a sore back and went back to your mark, today you have stress fractures and miss 6 months.

Broken finger lay offs get me though, come on!
