I heard they struggled big time with the loss of Lee, apparently there is no one that can pull of the cardigan look anymore..... In for a long year?
Boys played alright I thought! Not a bad effort for their first hit out and having I think 6 or 7 starting A graders out due to work and injuries, still were able to move and play the footy in their terms. I think only a goal or couple points in it at the end so a nice hit out and thanks to all the Renmark boys for making the trip down and sticking around afterwards for a beer! Was a good day! Haha yeah Leeroy is a huge lost to the club and this league! All the best to him and continuing his amazing footy career down town..... But that being said I reckon with the 3 new recruits they've picked up plus having a couple of big man returning back at the club it's gonna be another good year at the Wells.

Prediction time: Ladder Virginia - have got stronger Mallala - have also added to list, Parish is big loss Two Wells - will push for top 2, will improve with quality recruits United - lost some quality but new coach and players will ensure they are better. Balaklava - will push for finals, will miss J Walker HWE - similar to previous years, lost a few Angle Vale - will trouble a few teams, but largely unknown Hamley - no reason to suggest they will be better
Goal kicker: Brendan Nicklaus (Virginia) Mail Medalist: Nigel Osborn (Mallala)

Swamp I'm not being a smart ass here but Angle Vale to trouble a few teams? what is this based on?
Malala- when up and about hard to stop there ball movement and gun forward line. Two wells- few very good recruits, only gonna be stronger. No reason to not finish here again. Virginia- will still be around the mark, premiership hangover for the first half of the year is on the cards. United- will have better structures with Kreig as coach. Hopefully recruits can stay on the park this year. Hwe- just miss out on finals, very young team. Looks promising in 3 or 4 years. Balak- lost too much quality and have no ruck man that will be able to compete week in week out. Hamley- will win 2 games against angle vale & lose 1 to them. Angle vale- will win maybe 1 game. Heard they are getting out 16 to training for there A & B grade. Hope they are better then this but by all reports they won't be.
Goal kicker: Brendon Nikaulas Mail medalist: Ned Seccafien

All the bullshit aside, trials done, This week the serious shit begins, been a long summer since Virginia held the shield aloft at Balaklava. HWE v Hamley> Hard one, Hamley AV v TW> Be good to hear how the facilities are at AV from TW , Two Wells here. Virginia v Mallala> Hopefully Mallala but Virginia will be hard as usual. United v Balaklava> United at Home.
2016 predictions 1st - Mallala, cant see them losing a game this year unless they get ahead of themselves. Have recruited really well with big Gus bruggeman to tear the comp apart. 2nd - Two Wells, Have recruited well also & have some young local lads that are just starting to hit peak. The local ruck contingent with Slattery & gameau will be the best in comp. Ned is all class! 3rd - Virginia, could easily finish second tho. Will depend on their motivation after winning last yr. 4th - 6th is the hardest to predict. Whoever finishes 4th will be making up the numbers as they wont be in the same class as top 3. Ill go eagles 4th just. They have lost a few but seem to play with heart. Watch for some late recruits also. Longies 5th, they used to play with heart but tend to lose big over the last few years when things get tough. New coach is a ripper by all reports & hopefully will change attitudes there. Have had more injuries to key players than most over few years so they will need that to change. 6th - Balak, Agree that they have lost too much class. In there favour is that they have good young locals & could upset the 2 teams above them. Prob wont spend there salary cap but if they did they will move up. 7th - Angle Vale, will get some big losses but will beat Hamley every time. 8th Hamley, still getting over the chronic mismanagement of previous committee. Unfortunately much of the same as previous year results wise for them. They are moving forward tho & have a great off field vibe happening. Medal - tie between Gus Bruggeman & heath Pym Goals - Niklaus cos he certainly makes the most of playing against the weaker team. Expect him to kick 30+ on 3 occasions Thats my predictions, for what they are worth and ive been told many times im a shit judge......
Round 1 Hwe vs Hamley - HWE by 65pts Angle vale vs two wells - two wells by 100+ Virginia vs Malala - Mallala by 24pts United vs Balak - united by 21pts
