Hendo, I'll be playing this time around.
saw hendo at training getting the boys to focus on the old carey paddock, leaving hendo 1 out in the forward 50.
i believe he was calling it Hendo's Hectare...

Yeah you are wrong. This group are are our future, Hills won't get up next year so there is another 4 coming our way, look forward to that.
On a more serious note, how much have West Croydon changed since we last met in round 9. Vessali, ex Portland I think, Luke Wilson ex Broadies ex Kilburn, Cliff Wilson ex Kilburn premiership player. Just to mention a couple. Most of them late arrivals. Anyone would think only the premier goes up.

Luke also played at Port Adelaide and Norwood. There's a fair few guernsey's in the Wilson's wardrobes. They get around, been at Port Districts and Salisbury West too.

We won by 45 points in the A's and the 2's put on a clinic for their second win of the year to win by 90 odd points i think.

Yep.
Feel sorry for the two Woody Sth lads that did knees today.
One just before half time & one with around 2 mins to go in the last.
Both looked like quality footballers and will be sorely missed if they don't come up.
I'm tipping both are done for the year, two stretcher jobs.

The club would like to thank Steve Gilling for his tireless efforts as our senior coach for the past two seasons and Robbie Allen for his services as reserves coach for the 2016 season.
We're already looking forward to 2017 as we look to grow and prosper as a club.

Re: CH9AFL Division 6 2016
Commiserations to Mitchell Park on being the unfortunate side to be relegated. Showed they were more than capable of matching it this year with sides. Despite the lack of wins I think they looked better positioned to be in this division than a couple others.
Mawson Lakes in particular can consider themselves fortunate to be here - having only won 5, 4 and 4 A grade games over the past 3x seasons. It's also the depth in the B grade - Mitchell Park defeated 3/5 of this years D6R finalists, and missed on percentage after winning 10x games, where as Mawson Lakes have only won half that in the past 2x seasons (3 & 2).
Good luck to Mitchell Park in D7 next year, I fancy it wont be long at all until we see you back up.

Re: CH9AFL Division 6 2016
Quick shout out, congratulations and good luck to all the wonderful and colourful people of the best division in the amateur league. Although we've struggled a bit this year it's been fun renewing rivalries and starting new ones. I can't remember a cleaner year actually, it's almost been too friendly for my liking! I can't remember a single fight or even controversy this year. Poor form - as a spectator I hope to see some biff (but fair) throughout the finals.
My favourite moments from each team:
Houghton - I have perhaps too much of a healthy respect one should have for an opposition club for Houghton, was almost close to being pleased when they exacted a tidbit of revenge for the '15 GF in round two. They were brutal that day. Also enjoyed the glare off Q's head, we directed it onto our solar panels and got a bit more juice out of them.
Fitzroy - Matthew Nelson reaching his 350th milestone. He probably wouldn't know me but I have admired him as a leader, footballer and bloke for a few seasons. Also enjoyed seeing C.Wheadon smash our LP7. Taught the wee man a thing or two.
Ingle Farm - Zartan rolling around imitating a footballer - and then giving the greatest fend off to N.Leck of all time. Nah thanks for all your help, chats and advice this year mate, really appreciate it.
Mawson lakes - The Real Number Three rolling around imitating a footballer - was good catching up Box you pelican, and no, Morgan is still predominately a males name.
Woodville South - First time we've played these guys, not much to write home about, obviously a strong footy club - I enjoyed their BBQ and telling their supporters to shut their mouths when they tried to tell the coaching group to sit down as they were "obstructing their view" and then getting called uneducated. Rightio.
Brahma Lodge - As Ressies coach our win at home was probably our best for the year so I'll recall that fondly. Also enjoyed the sideline banter about tattoos, cash payments, winning the lottery and selling ecstasy.
West Croydon - Yeah look, these guys routinely and systematically destroy us every time we play them so I tend to blank them out. Appreciated the words of encouragement their President gave me and Stubby giving it to J.Leck on Saturday. In all honesty they deserve to go up, they're very strong.
Adelaide Lutheran - It was fun playing on the postage stamp again. Have to love small grounds. The only club I am dirty on for a few reasons but that argument can be had another day.
Trinity OS - Really enjoyed playing these guys, both because of human_torpedo being a top bloke (thanks for all your advice and support this year too mate) but also because well, we won 3/4 of the games! Good bunch of fellas.
It's season over and relegation looms large for the mighty Mitchell Park. We're really disappointed that we're going down as we did enjoy playing all the above teams this year. I didn't think we were the second worst team in the comp but in the end the ladder don't lie. We'll be back soon enough hopefully.

My phone has never gone off more on a Saturday afternoon as scores and updates were flying around between all venues - everyone wanting to know what was going on everywhere else
