Aerie, that was against Glenelg at Richmond (I can't quote you, anything I try to post with a quote in it directs me back to the home page)

True I guess Pyke might want him to have a run but heck its a risk to take though. Gets a bad knock or a corky for example.

Still related to the topic.. (sort of), lets say Henderson and Ellis-Yolmen get the call up this week to replace Sloane & Smith. Does that rule them out of the Ravens first final the week after when the Crows have a week off before the finals?
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

By the looks of that if Ellis-Yolmen and Seedsman come into the AFL side to replace Sloane and Smith this week, then both will be ineligible for first week of SANFL finals...

Doubt Ellis Yoelmen and Seedsman would both come out. Henderson was pulled out of the game against West at Berri following Smith's injury. So he'll almost certainly play in the AFL and be ineligible for the following week; that leaves one more to come out.
No Surrender!

Was just using Seedsman as an example, but still will have a couple missing. Plus Lowden and Keath are likely to miss with injury so may be one of the weaker Crows sides we have seen this year

Re: Can Rory Sloane play 1st final for the Ravens?
From The Cows' website:
"Midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen has been cleared to play in Saturday’s SANFL Elimination Final against Central District. Finals eligibility rules meant Ellis-Yolmen, who played in Adelaide’s AFL loss to West Coast last Friday, was originally ruled out of this weekend’s clash at Adelaide Oval.
The 23-year-old onballer has spent the majority of the year at SANFL level and is one of the favourites for the Magarey Medal. Ellis-Yolmen has played 16 SANFL games this season, averaging 29 possessions and seven clearances per game.
'As of today, we asked for Cameron Ellis-Yolmen to be available to play and eligible and we’ve been granted that permission,' Crows SANFL coach Heath Younie said on Tuesday.
Paul Seedsman is also a strong chance to return from a corked buttock which has sidelined the long-kicking backman for three weeks."
And later in the same article, "The brief from the Senior Coach has been all year, we want to go out and compete and win, but we want to do it in the right way."
Seems a little contradictory, no? Wanting to do it in the right way but then asking for rules to be suspended for them. Not that any of us weren't expecting this...

Yeah if the Ravens got an unassailable lead the Dogs should go around smacking the shit out of their AFL listed players, I'd pay to go see that.

It doesn't matter how noble the act, nobody wants that.

So going by that since Seedsman has played most of the seasson in the AFL team they would do the right thing and not play him in the SANFL. What a joke, why have rules
