I just looked on the tribunal list on the website which has 3. Forgot OB in the last game which isn't on there
We where told it was not our tribunal record that we dropped for, but our ability to win games. They told us no team has ever stayed up winning 4 games and that was why we where going back a division. Too bad we had 6 games under a couple of goals and only 1 real blow out to Eastern Park which was in the last quarter and didn't matter that we very competitive. It was a tough grade this year and we play every week on 2 Playing points and played our juniors like we do every year coming up against teams that had 15 playing points, but the message that we get is that you are better off buying in recruits and spending the money to survive ( That we don't have) then just trying to play within your means. Maybe we should have just gone out and try a buy a flag and then fold or go back to easy division and start again which seems to be happening more and more.

If this is the case Demon Juke it might be better to take a step down?
If you find yourself uncompetitive for whatever reason (but particularly structural reasons as you've identified) I would have thought relegation would offer you a good launching pad for sustained success?
I've posted it elsewhere but our experience of relegation (twice in two years!) proved over the medium term to be the best thing that ever happened to us. Additionally, the number of the division you play in isn't really as bigger deal as we all make out. Watching a tight win in an A Grade game is equally as exciting when its your club whether it's D1 or D7

you will always need to pay for that better quality of player to top up your team
seen 2 teams this year pay for players and could tell were pissing away cash on unfit players quality was there but fitness was not

I think this is the issue for HV. They were competitive. Extremely. If Para Hills had've scraped two sides together, they'd be 6-12 and wouldn't be in the spot they are now.
FWIW, if HV and Pooraka keep their lists together they're going to be very, very good D5 teams.

I don't think players testimony should be considered in that situation. Otherwise it's too easy to write a scathing email and send it off to sink a player that you've got beef with.
Prob didn't help that McBride looks like Hulk on Roidstry convincing someone whose never seen him that he's really a gentle lad
Unfortunately for Hulky he is such a strong dude that he gets caught in these situations where with anyone else it would be a nothing incident, but with him its magnified. He coat-hangered a West Croyden dude, completely accidentally, just got side stepped but because of the size differential it was an instant yellow card. He got another yellow for what was just a great bump, but it looked awful because of his size. We even saw it a lot in terms of free kicks where a ruckman would be all over him, he pushes back a little and they end up in the trees. Whistle and free kick against.
He's like a real life version of the Big Friendly Giant.
Having said all that, just don't call him a steroid user. He nearly popped a Fitzroy guys head like the Mountain vs Oberyn Martell for saying that.
Can admit he can get caught up in unfortunate incidents purely because of his size. He got me one day at our ground with a clothesline for the ages. I had his forearm imprinted on my collar bone for about two weeks I think. Wasn't really his fault i'm pretty much a midget...for the record, I didn't even get a free. Shocking umpiring lol

Ironically its probably more the latter in this case Arch. But he is just stirring the former rather than making it up
