For coaches who have the job across several years, whether you beat expectations and whether your club's W:L record improves or declines year-on-year are big factors, too. But ultimately, for most coaches, if you've won more than you've lost in the most recent season (or, at worst, the club has won more games than it did the previous year), you're safe.
