They would've spent a quarter dribbling shit to each other.
PULTENEY - 2017 Preview 2016: Division - D5 Position - 9th after minor Round Wins - 4 Lost - 14
OUTS Joel Aish (HFL) Josh Habel (SANFL) Brad Harvey (KIFL) Mitch Harvey (Flinders Park) Sean Patton (GFFL) Adam Read (PAOC) Tyler Winton (BL&GFA)
INS Kyle Bryant (GFFL) Josh Giddings (SANFL) Jake Grosser (PHOS Camden) Matt Henry (MSJFL) Jack Hoppo-Luckett (HFL) Thomas Latchford (HFL) Tom Mattner (Unley) Dalton Tucker (SANFL) Brady Wilson (Morphetville Pk)
Finishing in 9th spot of D5 last year, Pulteney will be looking for a big year and move back up as quick as possible. Despite only winning 4 games last year, Pulteney showed positive signs during the year - narrow losses to CBCOC, Smithfield and Greenacres, as well as defeating Glenunga, Rosewater and Elizabeth over the second half of the season shows when they're on, they're capable of anything. Comfortable premiership for the B grade indicates the depth is as good as anyones, even if they are still a young group.
Aish the noticeable departure, but as has been documented on here, the recruiting of Giddings & Tucker from the SANFL as well as Urailda pair Hoppo-Luckett and Latchford is more than enough to cover Aish and add another element of strength to the squad.
Prediction: If they fire, they'll be contenders. Usually a fit side, and play that sh*t hole Morgan Oval very well. Lot of unknowns around them, but i suspect they'll win most their home games, should pick up a few away wins, and if they can manage injuries then they'll be finals bound come end of season. Another side who will be sitting in the log jam between 3rd and 7th.

SALISBURY WEST - 2017 Preview 2016: Division - D7 Position - 1st after minor Round (undefeated premiers) Wins - 16 Lost - 0
OUTS Steven Wellington (YPFL) Daniel Drewett (Elizabeth) Daniel Glenie (Elizabeth) Kirk Hill (Pooraka) James Hughes (Para Hills) Dylan Kohler (YPFL) Mat Laird (Para Hills) Darrell McIntyre (Brahma Lodge) Jake Medhurst (Gepps Cross) Ryan Pursche (Elizabeth) Jason Sanderson (Elizabeth) Nathan Tige (Greenacres)
INS Jarrod Bandtock (BL&GFA) Jake Brander (APFL) Jaidon Clarke (Gepps Cross) Anthony Ianniello (Hope Valley) Peter Savage (Kilburn) Sam Stringer (Salisbury) Dylan Tippett (Kilburn) Michael Ursini (Salisbury North) Ben Williams (Salisbury North)
Cruised through Division 7 in emphatic fashion before being challenged and nearly beaten in the game that matters most. The gap between D7 and D6 is as large as any, and they'll receive a sharp wake up call early. The losses of McIntyre, Wellington and Kohler will test them. Still have quality around the club, but wont have the easy ride they had in D7.
Depth would be a concern, their B grade only winning half their games last season - should injuries strike in the 1's they could capitulate and fall off the pace at a rapid rate.
Play a possession style football, shorter pin point passes and get the ball central to the hands of the main ball users and runners - it'll be interesting to see how it holds up in Div 6 this year, and if they can navigate their way through opposition zones.
Prediction: I sense difficult times coming up for Salisbury West - they'll jump out the blocks and win a few early, but once the going gets tough and injuries/inclement weather sets in, it'll really test their mettle. Outside the top 5 this year, avoiding relegation will be a victory and should be the major aim.

TRINITY OS - 2017 Preview 2016: Division - D6 Position - 5th after minor Round Wins - 6 (1 draw) Lost - 11
OUTS Daniel Costa (BL&GFA) Luke Highet (AFL QLD) Nick Hooker (SANFL) Angus Lemmon (APFL) Cameron Maher (Kilburn) Anthony Rossack (APFL) Jason Scott (Lockleys) Matt Young (Lockleys)
INS Jordan Smith (BL&GFA) Will Wheeler (HFL)
Scraped into the finals last year, then knocked off Ingle Farm at Rowe Park to progress to week 2 of the finals, Trinity OS showed their best is as good as anyones - proof in the draw against eventual Grand Finalist West Croydon during the year. Although dont appear to have recruited heavily, the core group from last year appears to still be there. The stocks have taken a blow with Maher & Hooker departing, and with Rossack and Lemmon moving on, they may be more challenged down back.
Spurr, MacPhail, Cameron, Lamont are still potent, and a forward line that contains Cotter, O'Hara, Perry and Zorich is always going to create headaches.
Prediction: Lot of players went through the A grade last season, the lack of stability obviously a factor in the inconsistent results. Their best is as good as the rest, a lot rests in the hands of MacPhail and Cotter though i think and Sam Peters will need a big season. Will be difficult to beat at home as usually, and if they can snag a few on the road, then i think a similar spot to last year is on offer - they'll be in that log jam between 3rd and 7th.

And...was talking to someone from Pooraka the other week who was laughing at Cree leaving Ingle Farm.
Why were they laughing?
Sorry, should clarify it was a cricketer from Pooraka. I couldn't quite make head or tail of their issue, but they thought it was funny he was moving on.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Probably found it funny because he gave his word on a number of occasions, he would repay the faith and commit to a full season to Ingle Farm, and stressed "He was a man of his word"... nek minnut, back to PH

Let it out mate, let it out.
HAHA! Nah not at all, Creedy is a mate, nothing has changed, dont care where he plays - I always suspected he would either head back to PH or not play, especially when the likes of Hanson/Bailey headed back.
Makes no difference to me either way lol - but I think others may have taken greater offence with it lol.

Webber & Garner also played for Smithfield and have clearance in to go to the Country, Also probably the best 2 in the trial.

Sure they wern't laughing at PH for taking him back

I was trying to keep some cards/secrets up my sleeve mate! I heard it was Victoria he'd followed her to?

Nah can confirm its Wollongong. Hard man to replace, A grade VC and leading goal kicker, A grade cricket captain, all round off field maestro..
