Gary?

Yep, Impey to Hawks, Poppy to Swans, Rohan to Port (mixture of picks)

Who wins out in that trade?
Possibly Port?

I think he was extracting the urine.

The fact hes been charged with assault and hindering police, not assault and assault on police, speaks volumes.

Adelaidenow website is reporting he has been charged with assaulting police.

Doesn't look good in the footage, certainly has some pretty significant physical contact with the police.

I expect we'll be without our AA ruckman for several weeks at the start of 2018.

Again, it's an assault and hindering police. Wording is important.

Assault and hindering police - depending on the severity of the assault that is a hefty fine and community service. Hindering can be standing in the way to block them or grabbing their arm. Even constantly arguing with them can be considered hindering police I believe.

Assault of police? That's big house type stuff and is entirely different.

What dead set wanker. Left the Bombers because he wanted a better lifestyle for his family. Great role model flog

Pretty sure he left the Bombers after they pumped him full of a substance that nobody could assure him would not harm his unborn child.

The club he loved and trusted had let him down and that's why he left.

Although I'm not trying to use this an excuse but does banning grown men form alcohol for 10 months of the year turn them into pissed idiots far easier when they can have a couple?

A 6 pack to a seasoned 2 or 3 night a week bloke is nothing, even being on the wagon for a month and then having a 6 pack gets you a bit tiddly.

Just a thought, not an excuse.

Port Adelaide ruckman Patrick Ryder has been arrested and charged with assault after a fracas outside an Adelaide nightclub following the Grand Final.

The club has confirmed the incident involved Ryder’s younger brother and cousin in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Following the incident Ryder was charged with an assault and hindering police.

The officers sustained only minor injuries.

He was released on bail by the police to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on November 15.

Ryder met with club officials this morning to express his disappointment and regret for involving himself in the incident.

“Given this is a police matter, Ryder and the club will not be making any further comment until after the court hearing,” the club said.

In addition to Ryder, SA Police confirmed a 22-year-old man from Western Australia was arrested and charged with resisting police, and a 23-year-old man from Western Australia was arrested and charged with assaulting police.

Ryder earned AFL accolades as the competition’s best ruckman this season after spending a year out of football to serve a WADA-imposed ban from the Essendon supplements saga in 2012.

The West Australian moved to Port Adelaide in 2015 after playing 170 AFL games with Essendon from 2006. He has played 40 AFL games in his three years at Alberton.

Unfortunately the first thing usually dropped is assault police. Never understood that but sadly it does happen more often than not

He chose to join Port Adelaide for several reasons, on field potential, off field cultural programs etc.

Leaving Melbourne? Who wouldn't.

I agree, I think its up to the cop to take it to court isn't it? If they couldn't be naffed and it was just a bit of argy bargy they do usually drop it.

Id be staggered if Paddy gets anything more than a fine and community service. Talks of careers being over and jail time, predictably premature.
