'Wouldnt have ever got picked for Austrailia, think Sayers. Just doesnt have the pace and besides Adelaide 2nd innings in very favourable conditions and the odd spell here and there he has been just as underwhelming as the rest, granted the rest cant even say they had the odd good spell.

Glenn McGrath just made a similar comment on the BBC coverage.

Refusing to bowl?

Apparently Root asked him to bowl and he shook his head and walked away. Curran came on and got the wicket

Was talk he was carrying a knee injury but if he's good enough to stay on the field he should be bowling.

Poms have now bowled 190 overs this innings..... 200 is a good round number.

Paine should have gone for that one, but Marsh should have caught it having got the palm of his hand to it.

Paine needs to have a look at De Kock's catch last night where he went way to his right. That was most definitely a keepers catch. Nonetheless a shite effort by Darsh.

First slip shouldn’t have to reach or dive towards a keeper.
Paine should have dived for it.

I agree keepers catch & Paine does not even move.

So why was Marsh at first slip? Because he was cooked from batting. His wife said one of his superstitions is to not apply sunscreen when bats. He was way too wide particularly considering Hazlewood was bowling around the wicket.
