Will Glenunga get the services of McMahon and Venning if not selected as top up for the Crows?

5 more sleeps and we start kicking the footy in anger. Really excited about this year, can the Big Shrek finally expose himself, can the might of Kilburn finally admit they pay overs, can Danky start giving us real stuff, can Scottroo start being controversial, can I start to know more about my club than bubba love does. Bring it on, lots of great people in Div4, extroverted but great people.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2018
4 days away from round 1!
I know it's only one game but I think we could get a few answers to some big questions from the offseason:
1. After being a powerhouse in div 5 last year will Glenunga have the cattle to mix it with the top sides in div 4?
2. Just how good will Mitcham and SMOSH be after dropping down from div 3? Some tests for both of these sides against a finalist and a team that mixed it with some good sides late last year.
3. Just how good will Kilburn be?
4. Where do both Eastern Park and Salisbury sit in the grand scheme of div 4?
5. Have CLG improved any from last year?
FWIF I've got:
Kilburn
Mitcham
EP
SMOSH
Towns
I think Kilburn is the lock of the week but tbh I wouldn't be surprised if any of the other 4 games went the opposite way to what I've picked.

Not backing your own lads in mate?
I'd expect Towns to improve as the year goes on, doing what JC is trying to implement takes time. Wouldn't surprise me if Glenunga got up at home this week but Towns reverse any negative results in the back nine.
I'll back CLG, don't think SMOSH have ever been to Mortlock before and first timers can find the narrowness of the wings a bit hard to play without the practise. Kilburn to beat Pooraka, will take Gepps to beat the Hawks and obviously it's a fair challenge for us to win at Dwight Reserve, but we think we've got a better look in the midfield this year to be competitive on smaller decks. Hopefully it can hold us in good stead come Saturday.

Our list is pretty much the same talent wise as last year (lost a few, gained a few). I think we'll definitely improve from last year with another pre season under Brett and his style of play but just not sure it will be up to a side that played div 3 last year. We'll know after Saturday I guess.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2018
CLG pull away late to beat SMOSH by just over 5 goals
If that is the level of footy we are going to see in Div 4 we are all in for a cracker of a year. Some of the best Div 4 footy I have seen and played in great spirits
