State team trainer

Post by Reddeer »

H Brew was the trainer for the State team in 1928
Does anyone know what his christian name is and what team he was attached to (probably their Head Trainer)

Thanks for that I searched Trove but nothing came up or me
I was putting christian names to the photo I have of the 1928 state team that lost narrowly to Victoria in Melbourne that year and Arthur Brew was the only one I couldn't find. He is H Brew on the photo

Perhaps Arthur was actually his middle name.

Perhaps the H was a mistype. I've seen A and H transcribed incorrectly from written to typed text in the past.

Even in 2018, there are lots of things that earn the displeasure of Head Trainers. Grumpy bastards, they are. Good to know that our counterparts from yester year were exactly the same!! While there are footballers, there will be grumpy Head Trainers.

We had a trainer at Berri who was a classic. I went to training one night for treatment on a hammy (the old ultra sound) and I walked in the trainers room with a strawberry milk. Our trainer just gives me the death stare and says "**** off out of here with that strawberry milk. Do you think this looks like a ******* delicatessan"
