State and Federal Governments are 2 different beasts.
Federal should be funding everything.

Bloody Cruise ships have a lot to answer for, should have sent them all the Christmas Island, certainly had an easy way to get there without impacting anyone else!

Started a job today for a couple where the wife just came off a cruise ship.
Well turns out it wasn't just a cruise ship it was THAT cruise ship, (Dream Princess?)
10 minutes before we left she got her results back, positive.
She was a mess before that now just laying on the couch bawling her eyes out.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

Suggestions on how to approach this in terms of care arrangements? Is it wrong to "cancel" them for a while and resort to measures like phone calls/face time?

My daughter is with her mum during the week and with us on weekends.
My partners daughters are the opposite - with us during the week, with dad on weekends.
Pretty much the same situation i have been working through this week.

Both of my girls have been out of school this week, the eldest who lives with me since Tuesday and the youngest who lives with the ex since yesterday. My partners boy hasn't been this week at all.

Last night the ex and i decided it's in everyone's best interest to keep both girls where they are for the foreseeable future, as to limit the risk of exposing more people to possible infection.

It will be hard, especially the youngest as its my birthday and my old mans birthday in the 1st week of April and she wont be seeing either in person.

I'd suggest calling SA Health on 1300 232 272 ( Prompt #3 when you get asked ) and run it past them.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Even id be isolating with this, what if she’s gone outside before you got there and touched something (ie tap) and you’ve come in and touched the same thing?

That ship seems to have a very contagious strain

Tough situation, but at least you managed to come to an agreement.

My partners ex: "Why the f**k should I pay child support if I cant see my kid?"

My ex (proposed I have our daughter for a couple weeks so she can continue to work/make other arrangements)" "No, I couldn't handle having her away for that length of time from me, and she doesn't want to anyway"

My ex (after I told her i'll continue contact via FaceTime then): "How selfish of you, I need her time with you so I can work, otherwise I have to pay for childcare.. if she can still go to work, she can still go to your place"

**** me dead, why does it have to be so hard.

Just found I cant claim any Centrelink money for being dropped down to 0.6 until I have used all my Annual Leave and Long Service Leave first.

That sucks. There pretty much goes our holiday once this crisis is over.

Personally feel permenant employees have been a tad screwed over during this period.
If you go to .6 you can access your super though? Only need a 20% reductuction in wages to qualify for this. Not that it's a particularly good time to sell out of your investments whilst they are down.
But could possibly get $10,000 before July and $10,000 after July.
Yeah I believe I could but probably need to take some more advice on whether it is advisable touching my super.
Easy for me to say, but absolutely avoid pilfering your super in the current (crashed) investment market. Find other ways if you can.

The Govt. is avoiding responsibility by making people do this instead of providing fiscal support.
Definitely worth thinking about.

The fact the super is tax free compared to taking out Annual Leave/LSL is slightly leaning me towards that.

Try and limit your drinking mate despite it being hard. Drinking only solves the problem very short term and will cause more problems in the long run.

Easier said than done i know.
