WTF happened to Brighton Saturday? Certainly bombed out.
After a great start to season, then whispers of internal fighting, coach announces he to quit mid season (very unusual for a Div 1 club) and an effort on Saturday similar to Carlton's yesterday. They may have got ahead of themselves and hopefully lessons learnt playing against the big boys in 2021.

Even though Brighton had couple of their best players out today, they were horrid and will be out next week when ROCS beat them at home. Picking Goodwood Saints to be the other Grand Finalist, pretty good effort after losing first three games to end up 2nd with home Final.
Think prediction of Goodwood vs Rostrevor GF have firmed, both in great form, and with SPOC and PAC not getting home semi finals (Thebarton and Uni Ovals being used) the home ground advantage gone now.

I watched the ROCS Brighton game on Saturday. Was not surprised by the result. Brighton have that powerful trio on ball, but ROCS were far too good all over the park. They had much better and smarter ball movement, had better work rate, and were physically stronger.
Now that ROCS are full strength, I’m backing them in. And I agree with your Goodwood ROCS prediction. I reckon they are the 2 best sides.
These are 4 extremely solid teams that remain. Will be a very good few weeks of football coming up. Very high standard and will be very entertaining.

Goodwood are definitely loaded up.
The 2 clubs in the GF that benefited most from COVID killing country leagues. Who would have thought!

Agree with the above comment. Some astute recruiting indeed - both ROCs and Goodies are stacked and flying, with a few key players back from early season injuries/transfers from covid affected leagues. It’s going to be intriguing what percentage of country league players stick around again for next season, or head back to regional leagues... Div 1 would be close to an all time high in terms of quality imo

The standard is awesome. But these players will not stick around. Know several who were going to be on $1500 per game with their country teams, their not hanging around for bugger all next year.
Goodwood's B Grade had that many guns playing as they had way too many points, crazy stuff!

Speaking of Carlton, I heard an ex premiership OC coach was in for this gig but may have been silly pub talk. Should be an appealing job though, Brighton are a very strong club.

Why is SPOC's using Thebarton Oval this weekend?

No, PAOC are the only ones who don't now
I'm not sure why. Maybe they can't afford the $1,000

Dont win too may flags on your home deck. Having 2 or 3 games at Thebby far more adventageous.

Considering the Grand Final is at Norwood Oval this year, I would say its a disadvantage.
