I didn't watch much of the game but Aliir x2 continues to impress me, he's got a good set of mittens on him and I love seeing defenders back themselves to outmark instead of spoiling.

Why did he pinch hit in the ruck and play forward last night?
Made no sense at all.

He followed Jackson, Melbourne's 2nd ruck, into the middle. That I understood as it meant we (tried) kept our forward structure instead of Dixon going in the middle as May and Lever were already on top. Went forward as a last gasp attempt to snatch the win.

His set shot miss in the 3rd was worse than Georgiades

West Coast v Richmond 50834
Port v Melbourne 30908
Port v Sydney 29631
Brisbane v Geelong 29024

Just to add further evidence to support how much of a moron he is.

Feel for the lad when all the supporters and port media ambassadors are holding ports finals hopes purely on if he plays or not

The defence looks slow, one dimensional and vulnerable when he’s not there though.
You need a Hartlett, Bonner, Houston type on the HBF for flexibility as well.
None of the players in defence were willing to kick it through the corridor last night.

Boak looked very sore last night. Moved like Selwood did last year. Probably should have given him a spell.

I'd love to see McKenzie just take one kick out sometime, play on, and pump the ball as far as he possibly can.

He’d hit the centre circle every time.
Why wouldn’t they do it?

Has played every game this year, was just looking like he was "right", clearly needs to be closely managed with his game time.

Agree.

Reckon it would be best implemented occasionally after a point from a set shot where McKenzie could position himself eg goal square for the quick kick out with Port players knowing where the ball will be hit.

Something like McKenzie sets up in the defensive goal square, someone like Dixon sets up in the centre square and if the point is quick McKenzie looks to distribute long and far as quick as possible with the small guys knowing what areas to hit.

What an amazing achievement whilst half the country is in lockdown. Well done PAFC.

Play Hayes, has to happen, been watching a lot of him at SANFL level and I genuinely believe he would be in the top 10 ruck men in game at the moment. If he doesn't get a game this year he is going to seek a trade, no doubt.

I'm sure they know a lot more than me but I was staggered he played.
Thurs night game after playing on Saturday didnt seem ideal. Would've given him another run in the sanfl.

Said to my Port mates all week surely you won’t bring ZB back yet?? In no medical expert so you have to trust the club, but seemed a bit of desperation in it.
