Another Glenelg win , defeating Sturt
That makes it 15 Minor round wins in a row for the club
They are now 13-0 this particular season

GL proposed draw for the rest of this season
GL V SA
PA V GL
GL V NW
GL V CD
WA V GL

They might, I mean very likely to be 18-0

Who can stop GL being 18-0 ?
South, Port, Norwood , Centrals, West or Delta ?

If Port and Adelaide are leaving for Melbourne tonight at 9pm and been told to pack for five weeks, does that put the SANFL season in serious doubt? How will they be able to field teams for the last few rounds?

Both teams can’t play finals (Port an outside chance), so do they try to get enough top up players just to get a game played, just giving their opposition a percentage boost?

Pull them from the competition immediately. Either nullify results of their earlier games (hello Pure Ladder (tm)) or in the remaining rounds the Real Teams that were drawn to play them can play each other instead.

Both of the previous options have serious problems. The first would probably leave some of the SANFL teams with extra byes, and the second, for example, would have Sturt vs Eagles two weeks in a row.

North and West have played 3 times in 4 weeks in the reserves because of this scenario.

Pull both teams. Then finish the SANFL season. I would say if they are taking an extended squad for 5 weeks then this is the only option.

So where are we at

With Port and Crows seemingly in Victoria for another two weeks at least after this weekend (based on Davies comments on AFL 360)

Stage four restrictions possibly next weekend or until Friday afternoon (Lockdown hopefully lifted on Tuesday)

it's possible the that the Crows and power may not be able to fill teams so what happens to those games? Glen V Nor rd 16, Eag v Sturt rd 18, Centrals v South Rd 19.

No crowds, last 2-3 rds at Adelaide oval like the start of last years season
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If SA is under control, but Vic isn't, then wont the Crows and Port need to do 14 days when they return?

It may be different for AFL listed players given they are in stricter quarantine, screened every day and are tested twice weekly for COVID (2020 protocol).

Therefore they are more easily allowed to travel is there is greater certainty hat they arent infectious when they travel compared to the average member of the public. However given over half of their last SANFL team will be in Melbourne for the next three weeks if the SANFL got going in two weeks time would they even be able to play?
