Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 5
Pooraka way too good for way too long today. We had a chance to get a good gap but didn’t capitalise in the 2nd. Great spirit shown in the A’s from both clubs players and supporters.
We’ll done to Lockleys in the B’s and C’s - Both were sensational games as curtain raisers. Very proud of our clubs efforts this year and we’ll

Quite enjoyed the day at Kilburn today, great finish to the B's (was the winning goal HTB or in the back? - big call) was nothing between the 2 teams
Was a bit disappointed with the A grade game, while close in the 1st half it didn't seem to have the intensity of a GF, Pooraka ran all over the Kooka's in the 2nd half

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 5
Congrats to pooraka football club on winning the premiership and also to there supporters who really got behind there team in great numbers.
Lockleys winning the b and c grade premierships, you lads seem like a cracking group and supporters were right behind there players. Clubs are built on cultures and from what I seen lockleys has a fantastic one.
Kenilworth man that a tough day to earn the right to play off in 3 grand finals to pull up short in all off them would hurt. To there supporters and players good luck next season hopefully success comes.
Thanks to all the players for putting on a show and also a big thanks for keeping our change room in a pretty decent state. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the effort the kilburn footy club put into hosting the finals and really appreciated the support and had success in all area. Bars, canteen and the bbq all doing extremely well.
Cheers to all and good luck next season.

Also dont know why Kenilworth got the ball in the middle on the re-start, did Locks kick the ball over the fence after the goal?

In the back for mine.
What were people’s thoughts about Pooraka taking a knee in the national anthem?

HTB for mine, players looked to be turned before he hits the ground. The player with the ball looks to be directly facing the umpire for mine which also indicates he was on his side not face down from in the back

The ball went to Kenilworth in the middle because the ball was booted out of the ground after the goal went through to waste time - From what I heard it was done by a supporter. Was a tight game and both the B’s and C’s were very good contests. Wouldn’t expect anything less from Kenilworth v Lockleys over the last couple years - Some fierce battles…

Loved it, Bulls are making a stand.
What a great day for the Pooraka, and what a fantastic effort by KFC in hosting the day, all the volunteers were amazing and there was no over zealous on officiating in such trying times.
Losing a GF is tough but hats off to Kenilworth in all grades, they gave it a fair crack all day.

Add one further thing, AdFL needs to bring in the last touch rule, every other comp in the state has it, including SANFL Juniors. It keeps the ball moving up and down the ground and encourages more corridor/direct footy.

Not sure having boundary throw-ins means the game is broken. And if it ain't, does it need fixing?

I was firmly against it when it was brought into country footy, but now a big fan of it, just seems strange the juniors coming up will have played with it throughout their careers only to have to change once they come into senior footy.

Was trialled this year in couple of trial games so you would think would be in next year for sure.

Re: 2021 Adel Footy League - Division 5
The league commenced trialling it for the 2020 trial matches with a possible view to introduce based on club vote for 2021 but COVID meant most clubs only had it for one trial or none in some cases. So they did it again this year for trial matches and I assume it will be something on the agenda for possible introduction in 2022. We didn't seem to have any complaints from players or coaches with the 2 or 3 trial matches we have now played the last touch rule.

Ball up.
Tackler gets him side on and turns him, but not very much prior opportunity if any before he's tackled.

Its funny how we see things so different, like those stupid facebook clothes pictures.
Like you I 100% see a bloke being turned to his side, I cant fathom how anyone can see that as being in someones back.
No wonder umps get so critised, all us 'experts' cant agree even with the benefit of multiple replays.

I agree. Not in the back, definitely no prior. That should never be holding the ball. Poor decision
