Things that you rate!

How refreshing is it to see Australia produce a tennis player that we can all be proud of, the way Ash Barty just burst on to the national scene and owned it in no time is simply brilliant.

Just a no frills, hard working go-getter without the ego that usually attaches itself to our tennis stars.

We’ve had one for the past decade, Dylan Alcott. Yep she is a cracker too.

Loved it when he read that Andy Murray text and got all emotional yesterday,
July 11th 2012....

Easy to tell the one that has been involved in team sports in the past isn't it?

Yep, just everything about her is all class, loves her footy, beer and cricket, rivals Pat Rafter as my favourite ever Aussie tennis player.

Have you seen the vision of her playing a "glance down to fine leg" on the tennis court

He was finished before my time.

Goolagong-Cawley was my first recollection of Aussie tennis stars then when Pat Cash won Wimbledon everyone bought a racquet and a head band.

How far have we come yet still a long way to go !!!

To think 10 years ago if anyone had said that you will watch a women's ashes match then a wheelchair tennis final live on free to air tv.

And for the news to be delayed due to the wheelchair tennis final.

Totally agree

But..... why is it called the Ashes? Who burnt the bails and when?

Yestreday's wheelchair final was the first time I've watched and I really enjoyed it
Gee they're talented but what that Sam Schroder has to overcome physical wise; I am absolutely in awe.
Nothing but admiration for him. More guts and determination that I've seen in a long time

I've still got a 1995 Adelaide University Students Union Centenary T-shirt.
It is getting a little shabby...

At our girls gymnastics presentation dinner last years we had the local Labor candidate come out and present the club with a foam cheque for $3.5 million towards the construction of a new gym, if Labor wins the election this year...

Fast forward to today and the local Liberal candidate has promised $3.6 million if they win...

Win win for the families out here...

Who doesn't love a bit of pork barrelling ?
