When an intersection that has a red light/speed camera assigned to it has a temporary change of limit due to roadworks/upgrades, does the camera pick up the new temporary limit?

For instance, Globe Derby Drive has been "allegedly" having roadworks for a few months, there's a red light camera there but the intersection speed limit has been 40 for this time despite being 80 leading up to it and then 80 once you go past it, it causes heaps of confusion and angst with users passing through.

I get over to the far left lane and go through at 40 as people get too shitty otherwise.

It's the same travelling South, it's a nuisance, you get heaps of ghostie red lights, the traffic drops 40kph for about 300 metres but no one slows down.

I'm gathering they don't, heaps of cars go flying through at high 70's, I'm sure it would've been on ACA by now if people had lost their licence by doing 35kms over the speed limit.

It's a bullshit set up though, I have to stop most mornings to allow no cars to turn right off of GDD, if you slow down you get tailgated or abused.

Bit of a change from eggs wiping themselves on arses.
