Given 10 years to the SANFL when you consider his time as a junior at the Bays. Eight+ years of senior footy at South

He's done his bit to keep the SANFL strong.

If he decides he wants to spend the next five years of his footy life getting some extra coin, training less and a having more of a social life good luck to him

I've long held the opinion you, you might fluke one or two SANFL games you cant fluke 100.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Well said. 9 years at South, with Matt Rose now the sole survivor from the finals campaign that 2014 season, while a young Joe Haines played a few minor round games.

27/28 is the new 31/32 as far as "retirement" age and longevity goes in the SANFL, and has been for a while now.

Runs his own carpentry business which apparently was a factor in finishing up at South, but imagine he'd be looking to kick some bags of goals in local footy for a few years to come.

Channel 7 would obviously have significant input into the fixture, so the 'Port faithful' can watch both games without leaving their lounge room.

Surely the SANFL wouldn't be swayed by Ch7 ? Surely not.
