Not willing to give him a second chance DOC?

If Head couldn't be selected in the first test against India because of his previous poor performances in the sub continent/against spin then how can Warner be selected to play at Edgbaston after his poor performance in 2019?

I’m not a Bancroft fan but form warrants his name to be put forward, I prefer a L/R opening combo and I don’t rate Harris at the top level.

Bancroft's average will simply show how two faced the selectors are if he plays. Their treatment of Head was simple stupidity. I say they but I am firmly of the opinion it was Tony Dodemaide.

If we select on horses for courses then no Warner does not play.

The NZ V AUST 2 games were played partially/mostly to groom players for Test Cricket ?
If so should they have played 5 day games instead of 4 day games ?

Both matches ended up in a draw

David Warner will be selected in the Ashes squad.

Cricket Australia will go through the pretense that they have no idea how it was leaked.

Agree these are good. Thanks for taking the time TDK.

No surprise that he will be selected in the squad and will play first test unless Bancroft/Harris/Renshaw score bucketloads of runs.

No worries CM, I think they're relevant to this topic so I'll just share them in here. Obviously the CA journos are keeping an eye on the county season more than usual and keeping track of all the Aussies form leading into the Ashes.

Whufc, I did read that Tremain was only available for a three match stint for Northamptonshire so that might suggest he won't stay in England for long?

Ok fair enough. A bit like Boland, Tremain has played a fair bit of cricket on the flat MCG and then went to NSW which is equally unfavorable for the quicks. Seems his developed consistent line and lengths, arguably the greatest attribute to have on the english wickets with a little bit of movement generally around.

Surely staying over there? Despite not having a full professional contract surely a local premier league club can find some cash for him!

Warner will play til he’s 40 if he wants too as CA knows he will tell all when he retires so they will keep him happy and prolong it.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

How in the hell did the 3 i have put in bold make the squad? Some serious c#@k sucking going on here. I actually hope we get flogged by the poms to bring our overinflated egos back down to earth and hold some of these selectors accountable for piss poor selections.

With the bowlers Starc, Hazelwood and Cummins consistently injured would Morris feel unlucky?
