My mate in Alice Springs business being broken into for the 50th time in 6 years Tuesday night

How would that fly down here if a business was basically suffering a break in every two months since 2018

Was just talking to someone who left there in Feb this year, he said he knows of 11 families (many with businesses) who have packed up and headed elsewhere, what going to be left in the town? Very sad.

Alice Springs has been a complete shithole since the 80s. It is easily in my top10 of places never to go to again.

Alice Springs has been a complete shithole since the 80s. It is easily in my top10 of places never to go to again.

I know so many people like the joint but it’s a shithole for me as well.
I’ve travelled to a lot places Australia wide for work and it’d be in my top 3 worse places to visit.

Whilst they are issues that need to be addressed in a lot of country towns not just remote towns, it’s not an excuse for what’s happening there currently and has been for a long time now.
Ignoring the problem hasn’t fixed it either.
Send the army to start regaining some form of lifestyle for the locals and their families

Deploy the army, restore some order then work through what it looks like over the coming months/years.
