Re: ATCA
New president.
New committee member from Gepps Cross.
Usual tweaks to the bylaws.
30 min afternoon tea in the two-day comp now. Subsequently games starting 10 minutes earlier.
One dayers now having a max of 8 overs per bowler, and field restrictions (no more 9 on the fence).
Oh and live scoring for all games is now required.

A1 - Goodwood, then daylight
A2 - Unley and Ingle Farm will be hard to beat

Re: ATCA
A1 I agree Goodwood will be very hard to stop, I did hear some guys might be getting here a few weeks after round 1, but the talent they have is incredible. I think PAOC will be big improvers.

Re: ATCA
I’m led to believe that Jasper Davidson won’t play for Goodwood until after Christmas, however his younger brother (also a Scottish player - top order bat) will play the whole season.

Re: ATCA
Am I the only old-time cricketer that is starting to wonder why they're still playing cricket against all these current teams that blatantly cheat, then cry foul and lodge reports when you call them out for cheating?

Re: ATCA
Need to be careful how I word this, but there are some 'teams' that blatantly give LBW's and caught behinds not out, then celebrate hard when said batsman goes on to make a ton. Words are exchanged between fielding team and umpire / said batsman, and the cheating team doesn't like it and lodges a report with ATCA. It makes you wonder why you bother standing out in the field all day, just to get shafted by teams that are happy to cheat and win, rather than lose with integrity.Tony Clifton wrote:More info needed please!MoP wrote:Am I the only old-time cricketer that is starting to wonder why they're still playing cricket against all these current teams that blatantly cheat, then cry foul and lodge reports when you call them out for cheating?

There would be a few of those ‘teams’ that the report surely would go straight to Junk Email at ATCA. It's an absolute must to bowl first if you win the toss in any player-umpired match. Let them set them standard and follow suit.MoP wrote:Need to be careful how I word this, but there are some 'teams' that blatantly give LBW's and caught behinds not out, then celebrate hard when said batsman goes on to make a ton. Yes, they do, but still makes for a long day when you play them during the season, though. And, if it costs you a spot in the finals!bloods08 wrote:
