No stand rule.
No rule against third man up.

Not sure where it is written but the SFL do not play these rules.
You didn't read the rules, did you?

Law 2.1
AFL MAY AMEND
The AFL may from time to time change these Laws and make further Laws
in its absolute discretion.
The SFL link to THEIR rules takes you to the Rules of SA Community Football, which then directs you to the Laws of Australian Football.

If it's not prescribed by the SFL, it's not a rule, simple.

FWIW, I think this is further proof of the absolute shitshow that the SFL has become under Warman.

Confusion over rules that exist only by hearsay, could be easily rectified with a simple communication.

The best thing this bloke has ever done is to move on.

Sigh...

From the Warman puff piece in the "Tiser:
Warman is set to stay involved as a commissioner on the tribunal and as part of the league’s match day radio team.

No leadership at all, he has been the boss of a league that has benefited from large population growth and should be the strongest in the state but is far from it.

When things get tough, he wilts. I could go into his treatment of a female volunteer but its not for this forum, no surprise the board is a boys club.

Some big signings for a couple of clubs, that have been announced on social media. Haven't seen much else posted but the silly season is still young.

Reynella
Liam Delahunty (45 league games at Westies)
Cameron Kirkland (returning from South)
Tom Schirmer (returning)

Cove
Riley Holder (2x GF appearances for Glenelg)

Apparently Sproule has signed for a couple more years and there are a few leaving Porties.
Inglis and Killian have re-signed for Shoes.

It's looks really exciting for 2026, as mentioned earlier Dylan McCormick has moved to Flaggies (40 league games at Westies), Reynella looking to address some issues from 2025 as well.

I've heard a few whispers re: departures from the Cocklediver$, got any names? Is Jarman taking a few with him?

The additions for Reynella;
Delahunty (recruit)
Kirkland (returning from South)
Schirmer (returning from a year off)
McGree (rumoured to be returning)

For me, this puts them right back into Premiership calculations.

The only one that could’ve made this an even better start to the off-season for Reynella is if Whitbread returned. He has signed with Yankalilla where his partner plays netball.

I’m interested to see what Porties look like in 2026. Loved seeing them get the flag, but what now. 12-13 players were from other Clubs and a few aging players. I’m wondering if they will be able to cover any retirements or player movements and stay in the top three.

Valleys look poised to be at the top a little longer with what I believe (could be wrong), more home grown talent in the A’s already. Porties do have more decent juniors progressing through the ranks.

It's starting to look scary on how many are leaving, no coach appointed yet either.

Bridgewater claiming a few back, I see. Wasn't Chris Ladhams involved at IB too? He looks like he's taken a few with him

Top of the SFL looking stronger, the bottom teams might be in for a worse season than the last one.

Port Noarlunga are what's wrong with community football.

3 of the top 4 do it the right way, full of juniors/returning juniors and top up with a recruit or two.

I don't understand why a club with such a promising junior set-up insist on going the mercenary route, they went from being everyone's second team to pretty despised in the space of about 2 to 3 years
