( Yes, I know they don't go on my hands )
Best shoes/boots ever. Still got my pair I got as two for $500 10 years ago for work. Resoled and heeled a few times. Beats buying a pair of the "ol' Julious Marlows" every year in the Christmas sales for $100
Normally a Rossi wearer and hadn't been able to justify the spend on the RM's but the Mrs and kids* knew I wanted some, very happy with their choice.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Mine have seen better days after being resoled a couple of times
Went to purchase a new pair recently and they are now $700
They’re great but I’m not forking out $700

I've got a couple of pairs, black ones that are nearly 20 years old, and brown ones that are about 6 years old.

Haven't looked at another pair of dress shoes in donkey's years.

One tip, get the leather balm. Makes them smooth as silk and just as soft.

I did the maths

10 years ago I was paying $100 bucks a year for a pair of new leather shoes for work

Buy one pair of RMs for $250... Do the maths
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

You can get "seconds" at Harbourtown, they're a bit cheaper than $700 with minor defects like stitching or something else minor.
My work used to have a corporate deal before Twiggy bought them out, specials are a bit harder to find since he took ownership.

Also Boon, be careful of the soy sauce packets

Thats wear I got my first two pairs from in 2016 for $500. Both still going strong the black pair have been "well worn"

The leather balm is the secret, as you say.

That's what I couldn't justify but I'll take 'em!

Had some soles put over the leather in Adelaide Arcade last week and got some bees wax to look after them.

I got some back in July from their seconds store in Salisbury for $450, as I now do some work in the Ag sector I thought I better look the part

As much as Ive loved them unfortunately I've found that they hold your ankles too well which in turn puts stress on my dodgy knee so they have been on the bench for a couple of months while I get it better, hope to get back into them in the new year.

Best approach with ag people is to accept you're not one of them but be an active listener and learner.

Yep I've actually been doing a lot of listening and being curious about the industry, listening to podcasts & reading Ag articles etc

Mentioning I grew up in the country helps a touch also.

I've used Allingtons in the past to get a good price, but old mate Twiggy doesn't like discounts
