According to the BOM website the minimum was 34.1 at 6.40 am.

If this site is to be believed then Adelaide's highest recorded minimum temperature is 33.5.

So we might have just seen the record broken.

33.9 was the old record according to BOM, 29th Jan 2009.

Maximums are recorded from 9am that day to 9am the following morning.

It's done that way to ensure continuity from back in the days when somewhere like a post office worker would make a note of the record when they opened up at 9am.

That maybe so, but what you quoted of Pseudo was mentioning the record I was referencing - the 9am-9am record of 33.9 in Jan 2009.

Regarding the record you mention, from a quote made by someone who works at the BOM in climate data, says those records (the overnight records) are from 2001 onwards.

Mr Dickhead thank you, on a positive note, I was 1.1kg lighter when I got home. The 6:30am today was very pleasant, quite humid though.
