Thoughts on the round?The Bedge wrote:Round 1
OSB Lonsdale vs Para Hills
Elizabeth vs Blackfriars OS
Rosewater vs Gaza
Houghton vs Trinity OS
Ingle Farm vs Bye.
OSB / Lonsdale vs Para Hills looks the match of the round for me, but the other one is Houghton vs Trinity OS.. I want to say TOS comfortably, but just cant with confidence.. nagging feeling that match will be far closer than expected.
I'm most curious to see how BOS go, at face value they're the only club (aside from IF) challenging at the top.

OSB Lonsdale by 23 points
Blackfriars by forfeit - no Elizabeth team in PlayHQ still
Rosewater by 15 points
Houghton by 30 points
Bye, but too close to put a margin on it

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
We were home Rd 2, had to get it swapped due to irrigation works on the oval.
No issues with the fixturing from us.. happy with the ‘bye’ and away games up front.

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
I don’t get it? If I wasn’t happy, I would say so haha.. sadly one of those personal faults I have that stops me from saying what I think.
Originally we had 3 of the first 4 at home, but told the league months ago about the irrigation works, then Units stayed down also.
I’ve said it previously, but the bye is a blessing, gave us an extra week up front to get organised.. Houghton away Rd 2 before it turns into a lake during winter is a win, and a road trip to OSB in Rd 3 ticks off our furthest travel for the year and gets it out the way.

Whispers going around that Gaza have lost one of their better key forwards? Any truth to it?

Gaza clearly the team to beat?
I’m very surprised to see that level of demolition of Trinity. I thought they would be half decent coming down a div.
Good win for para hills over Elizabeth too.

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
OSB def Para Hills
Para Hills def Elizabeth
Elizabeth def BOS
BOS def Rosewater
Houghton Rd 1 just got over TOS.. TOS beaten by over 100 Rd 2.
Gaza back to back 100+ point wins look early days a cut above. Teams 2 to 8 look pretty even. Ingle Farm back from that.
This week should give a litle clearer indication - TOS vs BOS and HD vs Gaza games to look forward to, and Rosewater vs Para Hills will be viewed with interest.

Looks like Gaza 10 goals better than everyone else, with the middle being reasonably tight.woodublieve12 wrote:The reserves scores are just as confusing

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
It is a long season, and it’ll be a cold and wet winter, however they sure look to be the team to beat in May. Ones, Twos and Threes all sitting top of the table. I did hear one of their coaches left in an Ambulance/Airlifted/Royal Flying Doctor escort Saturday from Houghton, hopefully that doesn’t derail their season from here.Roger wrote:Can anyone get near Gaza?
