I have a few I have always found hard to seperate;

1986 First Semi Final - Woodville d Port, in front of 40,000 & I got to hold up the banner

1993 & 2006 Eagles Premierships (especially 2006, getting one back on the Bulldogs)

our 3 premierships

the game against central in august 1975 (49.23.317 to 11.13.79)

the 1982 preliminary final, when the siren went i think this was the most exhilarating finish i've witness although it was an eerie feeling during the 2nd half
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Most "exhilarating" is not necessarily my favoutire moment, but for pure exhilaration it would have to be Phil Carman's first league game. round 1 v Port Adelaide at Norwood Oval, 4th April 1970.

As a young Norwood supporter, I'd had little to enthuse over when suddenly Carman burst onto the scene with a debut that could never be topped. Equalled maybe, but never bettered. That afternoon he stood at least 6 different opponents and bathed them all, including Russell Ebert and Peter Woite. It was a breathtaking performance.

Runner up has to be 2 years later, also round 1 v Port Adelaide at Norwood Oval. I'd just returned from our Under 17s game at Alberton Oval and parked myself in the western grandstand when Noel Pettingill got the ball on the defence side of centre, kicking towards the Beulah Road end.

He unleashed a monster torpedo punt that went through goal post high and hit the fence at the back of the oval. Robert Oatey and John Wynne measured the kick the next day it was 105 metres long. I couldn't believe I'd seen it.

'94 or '95 or '96   (can't recall which exactly) prelim v Norwood, Scotty Hodges on the boundary, 45m out goal to send the Mags into the GF where we beat Centrals.

Still get excited talking about that!

The exemplorary, appropriate, highly professional and accurate umpiring by the three umpires in last years Elimination Final...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

1983
Sturt vs Norwood
Parade
The Blues kicked 7 goals in the final 10 minutes to make up a 6 goal deficit and win by 7 points.
Willmott kicked 6 goals on debut, filling in for Rick Davies who was on state duties in WA.
Michael Graham kicked a goal from the wing, (though Constance may dispute this claim), the usually calm and collected John Halbert was going bunta on the side lines, cheer squad was spilling on to the field with the game still on.
Great day. :D

In no particular order as it is just too hard to seperate the Premierships...

'95 Prelim win over Norwood to get into our first Grand Final...

Running out as club mascot for the Dogs in early 90's, Grant Coffee and Tony Lynn led me out onto the ground...

Beating Port in the final series back in the early 2000's...

That FIRST premiership in 2000...

Back to back in 2001 then another flag in 2003 over Westies this time...

That redord breaking win in 2004 over the Eagles, my mate Paul Thomas winning the Magarey Medal...

Going back to back to back with a 3 peat in 2005...

Beating North Adelaide with a few new faces in 2007...

Watching the Gowans twins at their best playing together...

The sustained success and great pleasure that the Central Districts Football Club has given it's supporters...

Getting the opportunity to be involved in radio coverage of SANFL games...

D Jarman left foot goal on run on boundary, 50m out - Q1 1987 GF

After the previous 2 year's GF nightmares you could sense the tide was turning

It's also the most exhilarating game I have been to. Wrong forum I know but no 2 is 1991 RD 1 Crows smash Hawthorn

late in the season, 1997 at prospect oval, judd and ahchee had kicked goals against the breeze to secure a sturt win that GUARANTEED our first finals appearance in 10 years.

sturt vs west 2nd semi final 1998, brucey's goal in the 3rd qtr, that whole 3rd qtr was brilliant...we piled 5 or 6 goals in about 7 minutes to seal the win.

2002, listening to the GF, from early on when I heard Whiteman had laid a bone crunching tackle, I knew it was our day.

1997 first win vs port in 10 years...it was at adelaide oval and bruce lennon kicked what gary window called 'THE PLAY OF THE DAY' and he yelled it out over and over...it was a string of blues possessions without port touching the pill for about 3 kicks ending with a fantastic beatle goal.

2000 at alberton, first win there since 83 i think.

im sure there are more...
Carn the blues!!!!!

There has been a few but the second half of the 1971 second semi was something very special. Down at half time (after finishing the H&A season top) and looking for all money like North's finals failures was going to continue, and then some bloke called Barrie Robran single handedly taking it up a notch and destroying Port Adelaide while North ran out winners. We were never going to lose the Grand Final after that.

I think it was the 83 prelim final against norwood, davies kicked his 151 and we trounced the hated foe. Other than that 2002 GF, Mattner running from half back, hand pass, running running running, recieves hand pass, running running bounce running running, 45m out on the NW boundry aaannnddd.....GOAL!!! the Sturt supporters go wild and the Doggies' scratch their fleas in awe.

Watching Barrie Robran give Port Adelaide an absolute football lesson in the 1971/72 finals series on the Eastern mound on the beautiful Adelaide Oval with my Dad, a great era of SANFL footy for a kid, Mobil footy cards, Robran, Kelloggs footy cards, Robran, the footy badges from Snack chips and Twisties, Robran, Amscol footy colours etc etc.
F#%k you Leigh Matthews
