St Kilda fire the first shot at the Suns:

SAINTS INFURIATE SUNS WITH KING TWINS TWEET
Gold Coast has a major problem retaining players and St Kilda poured fuel on the fire last night by floating the possibility of uniting the King twins in the AFL only hours after Ben was drafted by the Suns.

The Saints secured key forward Max with pick No.4, while Gold Coast took defender/forward Ben with selection No.6 despite some talk he could request a trade home in two or four years.

Clearly, St Kilda is aware of such talk and were quick to tweet last night about the possibility of both Max and Ben playing together in the red, white and black.

"Ben, if you ever want to come home…," the Saints captioned a photo of the brothers from their official club account with a wink-face attached.

Gold Coast is aware of the tweet and it's understood the club is far from impressed.

The tweet has since been removed.

Interestingly Stewie Dew picks up two Centrals lads at the GC.

I wonder where he was getting his info on players from lol.

Yep. We basically gave up Pick 21 for Beams + Isaac Quaynor at Pick 13.

2 out of how many picks / out of how many possible clubs in Australia. That's more than Port Power picked up from the Magpies isn't it. Slight coincidence that. Stew has always kept very close ties with his Centrals connections over the years.

Surely next year the AFL can find a way to drag this draft out even longer and built more suspense.

In other news, looking at the trade tracker and full list of nominations, I never really realised how many players actually enter the draft! Obviously a lot of broken hopes and dreams after it's over.

How good was the shot clock?

Reminded me of the commentary of Roy & HG when the weightlifter forgot to lift the weight.
