Agree with the above re Head. Not sure he belongs in the test team, but he's certainly performed in the one day team.
Also lol at Siddle.

When will they learn? Putting 4 overs together in a crap domestic BB game is a far cry from international one day cricket. All bowlers have been selected on BB form. Any chance they look at the domestic one day form? I know its a long time ago but why have it if we dont use it to select our ODI team. The domestic one day comp is a far better comp than the BB league, you only have to look at the amount of duds that get a game in BB

Anyone tune into ABC Grandstand?
I can't handle listening to Stuart Clark, burning my eardrums. Was the same with Dave Hussey who they had on for the Melbourne test.

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Re: 2018/19 Australian Summer of cricket
What other country in world cricket down 1 - 2 in a series and needing a win in the last Test to level the series dish up such a FEATHERBED ROAD of a pitch ?
Laughable to think that the administrators in recent times BULLIED some players in resorting to do everything possible (Even outside the rules and spirit of the game) to WIN by telling them they're PAID TO WIN but now when the Administrators (albeit different ones) have the chance to coax the curator (Every country does it except Aust it seems?) to prepare a sporting pitch that gives either team a chance regardless of who bats 1st, they stay silent and dish up this rubbish pitch . Only got themselves to blame for the pathetic state of the National team.
As well as doing there best to KILL Test cricket by ensuring these borefests

JJ makes some good points
The most lively pitch in this series was in Perth
Australia won and Pujuraindia failed

Adelaide pitch was fine, we just lost too many key moments.
Our bowling plans have been ordinary - obsessed with the short stuff, and India have worked out a way to handle that it seems and stayed patient, cashed in accordingly.. Majority of our wickets this series would've come from short pitched stuff at a guess.

PatowalongaPirate wrote:The return of veterans Peter Siddle, Nathan Lyon and Usman Khawaja headline Australia's 14-man revamped squad for the upcoming three-match Gillette ODI Series against India.
Batsmen Travis Head, Chris Lynn, D'Arcy Short and Ben McDermott and allrounder Ashton Agar have all been omitted, with the Test trio of Mitch Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins ordered to rest.
Fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile has been left out after suffering lower back soreness recently.
Only skipper Aaron Finch, vice-captain Alex Carey, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa have survived.
Australia ODI squad: Aaron Finch (c), Jason Behrendorff, Alex Carey (wk), Peter Handscomb, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Mitch Marsh, Shaun Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Peter Siddle, Billy Stanlake, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa
Lyon and Khawaja back in the squad is a positive move, not so sure about Siddle but he seems like the type of guy that surprises the doubters. Head real unlucky! Surprised he was left out. I'm glad Lynn has been dropped, he is simply not up to ODI level and Short is probably not there as an ODI batsman just yet.
Coutler-Nile back soreness LOL, just when he gets really up and going he gets bloody injured! I like Richardson and Behrendorff in there but not Stanlake, yeah he bowls 145/150 kmph but can bowl some absolute trash at times.

Has a very similar economy rate to Labushagne, enough said, as weve been saying all along, he shouldnt be in the team. If his name wasnt Healy he would be out of the team.

Of course, our bowlers have spent two days working some lovely footmarks into a turning deck and seeming the life drained out of it... of course will take more turn days 3 and 4 - we will probably be lucky if this test reaches a last day.
