Will be interested with selection for us today - it seems Pearce is out but not named as injured or in ressies…hoping my boy Carroll gets a deserved run

He would have except for a late bout of covid.
Lange is also a late out with a calf issue.

Ins from last week... Cowham, Pickering and Anzac
Outs... Lange (inj) Pearce and Launer (both in ressies)

Legs up by 10 points at qtr time.. a bit cleaner by hand and foot but both teams having a crack.. breeze maybe slightly favouring the southern end to which the Dogs will kick to in the second although more across the round than favouring an end

Dogs 3.3(21)
Legs 3.4(22)

Half time

Not the greatest game of Aussie rules I’ve ever seen

Legs by a point at half time after Dogs kicked the only 2 goals for the qtr. Dogs struggling to penetrate the Norwood defence, who are getting back in numbers and relying on fast breaks out of defence. Despite Boyd getting his usual share of hit outs, clearances favouring the home side… Norwood in this up to their neck.. interesting 2nd half awaits..

Dogs 7-6 to 5-5 at lemons. Legs kicked the first two of the quarter but dogs then got on top around the ball and started to find some targets up forward. Will kick with a freshening breeze in the last and would be disappointed to lose from here. Certainly not calling g it though

Didn’t deserve to win and easily the worst side in the comp and the worst Norwood side I’ve seen in my lifetime.
This mob of losers won’t win a game this year

4 goals in 8 minutes... made the other 100 minutes a painful watch.
Continue to keep teams down to a score that should result in solid Ws but struggling with any method up forward. Today we relied on cameos from Marcus and Luca.
Schiller and Grant best two by the proverbial.

Long time since we have had wins in all 4 grades against nwd.
Heading the SHL table which is great news looking ahead.

We made hard work of that but at least we got the win .
In the past we lost that type of game .
Agree Schiller & Grant outstanding .

Ok we've won 4, which is good, but if we keep playing like this we won't win too many more,
at some point soon we must start improving,
Port this week & they're now going ok,
I see Splaan in the 2's still, he had a lot of people recommend him, why hasn't he stepped up into the league side?
Also we desperately need a forward or 2 to start taking grabs & kicking goals.

I know this is a big statement but Norwood would have trouble beating PAOC at the moment

So in the last 3 games against Eagles, Bays, Norwood combined.

Centrals have scored 20.23 from 127 inside 50s.

Whilst conceding 25.21 from 92 inside 50s.

I have noted in the last 3 games a reluctance to challenging the corridor/switch as much as we should imho. Our best users of the the football Hoskin Iles McLennan are in the backline let’s back them in to create.

It seems very much down the line and no risk atm. We are seeking a contest/boundary line on most occasions moving the ball forward. Which eventually leads to either a hack into the forward line or we work the ball back and kick long to an outnumber.

Fix our ball movement up and we are a good side imho
