and also except for millsy at goodwood, and weed when at gaza.
there's been plenty that have done it at that level and been successful. some suggest it actually works better.

Your wrong. It's not crap, he was always looking at retiring and spending more time with his family at the end of this year. We were extremely lucky to have him as long as we did.

Speaking to a lad being courted by a far northern club, he tells me the pay structure they offer is interesting with reasonable cash lump sum bonuses given at the halfway mark

Is that so they don't play a few games, then take the money and run 4-5 games in and go and chase more coin? Very clever way of doing it if true.

Heard that a Torrens Valley player has got the Pt District A Grade job for 2011 and another ex SANFL player from the same club as his assistant. Players to follow with him include McDowell (mail medal 2010), Gunning (Multiple mail medal winner), Smith, Burn Brothers, Sitters to name a few.

Biggest load of crap i've heard, very wishful thinking.
No way in the world would Gunning, McDowell, Jaques etc leave a club like $$Torrens Valley$$ for a club like Port Districts.
These guys would be on $1000-$1500 per game, do you think they'd leave for $150-$200   & then worry if they'll get it come the end of the year.
Unless someones won the lotto at Districts theres no chance these lads will all be suiting up in black & white next year.

According to Page 2 of the "Footy News" teaoby, we've got nothing to worry about.

Port Districts are still in Division 1 next year

I can confirm that Port District have recieved eligebility for a grant through the State Gov  . Im not at Port Districts so I dont know the exact size but i dont think it would be in the range of being able to renumerate gun midfielders in the top div or two.

You are kidding yourself if you think they can apply that to "player payments".
The grants system works on payment of actual invoices for goods purchased as authentically applied for, can't see that being of any benefit to them unless they want to have a go at "cheating the Govt System"!

It was hard to keep 1 A Grader in particular happy during the final series, especially once he was dropped.
This certain player did not make himself unavailable for A grade selection as stated by their coach after the Grand Final, if the coach was honest enough you'll find this player wasn't good enough to make the side thats why he played B Grade.
This same player apparently had Hall in the headlock back at Shark Park later that night.
So all wasn't well with celebrations at Shark Park.
Now i know why he ( Hall ) chose not to go on.
