Dunno but I do remember Skylarks on Sky Channel at 10:00 am on Saturday morning....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I tried to help her out once I knew she was pregnant and then beyond, it wasn't a good thing.
I tried for years to go through family court but it cost me a fortune and she never showed up, and I never got to see my son.
I found him on FB about 8 years ago and sent him a message once he turned 18 but to no avail.
He replied this morning wanting to connect.
I basically cannot even function right now, he is doing well for himself and is self employed, I'm a f****** mess.
I hadn't touched base with you guys since.
The day went very well, there were no awkward silences and it was like talking to and looking at a younger version of myself, he is very punny.
We have kept regular contact and he calls me dad, my eyes water every time but I'll get used of it.
I'm pretty happy with the world atm.

If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

So bloody awesome, Im sure he is feeling as good, if not better, for having made contact and having his Dad in his life.

He got to the cafe early and messaged me, I got there and there were two young lads sitting on different tables, they both looked up and one had a beaming smile.
I didn't know how to greet him, instincts took over as we went for a handshake that turned into a hug.
I dropped him off at his house later that day and his mate was leaving as we got there, his introduction said it all "this is my dad" he said proudly and strongly knowing it was the first time in his 25 years he had said that.
There were a few funny moments, I asked if next time he wants me to bring a kite so we can run along together flying it in a park and he suggested that we get ice cream and go watch the latest Minions movie.
A lot of people don't get this opportunity, I am truly grateful and appreciative.

Thanks mate, I couldn't even begin to put it into words.
Since we caught up I sometimes say to my daughter that works with me "Hey, 4th favourite child", I soon stopped when she said "Yeah what, 2nd favourite parent".

Did the pub trivia last night at the Lakes Hotel and our fill-in host was none other than the great man Dissident. Was great to catch up again after many years.

My sister being appointed the new Principal at Annesley, has worked her way thru the system (1st teaching job at Coober Pedy) and has had some health battles but her resilience is 1st class, very proud of her.

Fair to say, I’m in wind down mode now…
