Agree and was done without one of the greatest ever first change or opening bowler in Australian fast bowling history, Pat Cummins in the 2nd dig.

Great to see ''allrounder'' Travis Head in his 99 runs /0/4 [1] / 2/25[8] performance
He belongs at this level

Not bad for a park cricketer with a great eye hey Mr President? ;)

Who will replace Pat Cummins if needed for the Adelaide Test match?
Will Cameron Green get a bat in this series?

Scott Boland deservedly must get the bowling spot
But in view of the aging Test team, it would be a nice time to play Lance Lightning Morris ?

Time to do sum rebuilding perhaps ?
In 5 years time there's a possibility of only Cam Green and The Trav being in the team
The rest of the current team will all be retired or almost retired
LANCE LIGHTNING MORRIS
I knew I had a chance with Lancealot of wickets Morris as a Test cricketer as both WHUFC and myself have both been posting him up
When we both agree it means it should be happening
Lets not forget he got Ben Manetti out cheaply this season- not many have done that in Bennys SS career

Still think Scott Boland has to play before Lightning Lance- but Lance is on the radar

Bang on as usual Mal.

Boland definitely comes in first but if they do plan on resting Hazelwood then Morris is the MAN!!

Cummins said in his press conference that if he doesn't play then Boland will come in for him.
Neser also added to the squad along with Morris.

42,517 attendance across the 5 days in Perth. Hardly worth opening the gates and the stadium would take a decent hit at those numbers.
Just play 2 tests in Adelaide and be done with it ;)

On The Grade Cricketer podcast co-host Ian Higgins said that's almost the average attendance of Australia v West Indies test matches in Perth.

Their crowds are nearly always poor no matter who they play. Take the test off them

On the Grandstand Cricket podcast Corbin Middlemas was reading out excuses people gave as to why they didn't go to the match, one of them was that the Christmas Pageant was on.

You mean if they cant draw crowds the WI Test series in future should be a one test series ?

I'm happy for it to be played in Perth, but....

I always feel more involved if I can sit and watch from the first ball. Hence I think it should start on a Saturday. The first two days set the game up and therefore you'll get more people there on days 1 & 2 than you would if it were Thursday/Friday.

Early Sunday, (day 4), it was just a matter of time as to when the game was over. You're hardly going to draw a packed stadium on day 3 and 4 (Saturday & Sunday) when the result is known.

Which is why I love the boxing day test, where I can park myself on the lounge with the lad and missus and watch from the first ball.

Or just play all tests in Adelaide and Melbourne ;)

Interestingly due to a quirk of the fixtures we will see the Windies back out here next summer for two tests.
We have 3 against Pakistan and then 2 against the Windies which means Boxing Day and the New Years test for them

Sounds like we should catch up then.

I got asked if I wanted a box ticket for Saturday but had to knock it back as I have show on in town Saturday night and I've gotta behave. Now I've been asked if I wanna go Friday instead, that sounds ideal, just trying to piece together a plan.
