Glenunga not winning the flag would now be a massive underachievement. Kilburn with a full deck the best challengers on a big oval in finals, IMO.

Who retired for you blokes

Atkinson. Started in '01 as a 17 year old, been through the ups and downs apart from three years at South Gawler in '06-08. 270 odd games.

Clearly going to be tough to stay up, the ladder doesn't lie. I never agreed with it (staying down) when it happened mate, but like beef said, I don't think going the other way would actually change where we are now. Guys who were key cogs in our 2015 GF team that have retired/stopped playing since (Kennedy, Mansfield, Tume, Jolly, L. Horjus, B. Horjus, Bennett, Catford, Short, Barmby, now Atkinson etc) would still be retired/finished playing regardless of whether we played D3 or D4 in 2016 (whether it's due to age or career), and our ability to fill these spots outside of our own juniors is almost non-existent. In hindsight, the people who made the decision three years ago may have got it right. We've gone 4th, 6th, now 10th in Div 4 as these seasoned guys have started dropping off.

Eastern Pk beat us by around 20 points. Was a good hard fought game all day apart from the first 5 mins of the game when EP kicked 4 goals in a row, then we had the next 5 scoring shots for 2.3 return. Both teams gave it a real crack after that and was a great game. Baker will need some goal kicking practice over the week off he kicked 3.7
