Houston have traded Brock Osweiler & a 2nd round pick to the Browns for a 4th round pick.

The 2nd rounder is a sweetener to have the Browns assume the remainder of his contract.

The 2nd rounder was the goal. The Texans just made them take Brock if they wanted it.

Effectively, the Browns will pay Brocks contract ($16m next season), trade or cut him and be rid of him altogether. They pretty much just bought the 2nd round pick for $16m.

The Browns have $100m spare in the salary cap, so they can burn through it if they want. (They have to spend 89% of the cap, and there's no chance they will do that on their current roster plus any draftees or free agents.)

Now there future drafts look like this.

2017: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6

2018: 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7

They've watched Draft Day and thought "We could do that!"

A healthy Tony Romo would be awesome for the Texans.

Knowing the offensive line we have, it's unlikely we'd have a healthy Tony Romo for very long though.

Chicago cut Jay Cutler, and pick up Glennon from the Bucs in free agency.

Don't know the contract figures, but Glennon would be cheaper. Don't know about better though.

In my time of being a Bears fan I don't think we've ever had a decent QB. Playoff runs have been made off the back of our Defence. Watching Rex Grossman throw away the Super Bowl in 06 still hurts :(

One would hope the ownership has done their homework on crowds and such. Not just looked at the free money and hope the build it and they will come theory works.

With the amount of tourists who go there I doubt they will have any issue filling the stadium
