We complain about players being robots, giving stock standard, mundane, vanilla answers - then we get a couple of blokes like Murphy & Jack Riewoldt who obviously don’t take themselves too seriously, give honest opinions & can still have a laugh, and they get shot down. Unreal.
I personally like both their work.
Also, Nick Riewoldt has been exceptional in his media debut this year.

Each to their own. You also love North Melbourne and I think they suck but that just shows everyone is different and has different opinions. :D
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Reiwoldt is great behind the Mic, always has been so it's a bonus for viewers that he's gone fulltime. Jack has been good over the years as has Lewis, although I reckon they give off a bit of a "getting too big for their boots" air now sometimes.

I always liked listening to Bob and Jack on 360 and yes, Nick has been very good in the media aswell.

I only don't like Jack because of his sooky antics on the field, he seems to have grown up a little in that department, I thought he was awesome getting up on stage with the Killers, I haven't seen Jack do much on tv so my judgement doesn't lie there.

Depends on the character, I actually don't mind Dangerfield in the media, in his serious media guise anyway, you can see why he's now the President of the AFLPA, very professional but hardly surprising knowing what he's like on field. He's articulate and educated, he's worth listening too. Nick Reiwoldt is a beauty, too, much like Dangerfield he's a professional who knows his stuff.

Murphy is a little left field and I'm not, I don't really hang around with anyone who is so while I think he's probably a good bloke, he's not my type of bloke*. If you've ever seen Brody Grundy, he's the same, a bit out there and would be hard work for someone like me. I don't deal with wishy washy airy fairy stuff.

The Dark Knight wrote:Open Mike back in the last 3 weeks. Robert Murphy tonight, I feel like their scraping the bottom on the barrel getting him on there straight after his retirement but an interesting interview nevertheless. Justin Leppitsch the week before, unfortunately I didn't find all that captivating and Andrew Mackie and Ton Lonergan to start the 2018 series off wasn't bad, mostly interesting because of Longeran's story of how bad it was when he lost his kidney. That sort of thing is scary to listen too.

having been through it myself, its not a very pleasant experience at all.

Lonergan's story makes me cringe every time I hear of it. I copped bruised kidneys playing footy and it was horrendous - bad enough, let alone what he went through.

Haven’t seen it but knowing his story I’ll have to check it out.
I know he is well loved at the Bombers and the club rallied around him. Several players were visibly upset when they were told at the time
