Marshall is simply a high lead up forward, he should be playing 30-100 away from goal and never be inside 30, and has been a prime example of suffering under the current game plan.amber_fluid wrote:Port need more than a new coach to challenge for a premiership.
Their forward setup is average at best.
Marshall and Lord won’t scare too many defenders and Rioli is too hot and cold.
And there’s a good reason Ratugolea couldn’t get a game at the Cats as he lacks speed and his ball movement and decision making is Div 3 ammo stuff.

Have a really close look ....he could've kept his neck taut then his head never would've hit the ground.amber_fluid wrote:C’mon mate , I think you need to watch it again with your glasses on.tigerpie wrote:Should've never been reported.
Walsh flopped, they're all doing it.
Seriously these guys need to do more neck weights like f1 drivers do.
Walsh had a 95kg beast tackle him and he could do nothing.
He certainly didn’t flop.
Watch the game closely, someone's going to get seriously hurt by trying to draw free kicks for head contact.
Watch blokes wait to kick at the very last minute trying to draw a free after disposal. Some of them dropping the knees hoping to get hit high.
It madness, but it seems I'm the only one noticing it.....with my glasses on.

Re: AFL 2024
Amazingly, in all the coaches manuals I've read, all the coaches workshops I've attended (and presented at many moons ago), in the physiology or biomechanics lectures I attended at Uni (admittedly often hungover so may have easily missed it), never have I heard of the new technique of 'keeping your neck taut when you're tackled'.dedja wrote:Just as well this guy didn’t play in the AFL then …
Probably added to this years pre draft screening tests, vertical leap, agility test, 20m sprint and neck strength.
Game changing stuff!

Not Steven May's though, he really belongs on home and away.

Stengle signs on at Geelong for another 5 years at less than offered elsewhere.

Was more so thinking the drug possession charges and poor life choices up until that time. But never mind.tigerpie wrote:If winning a flag constitutes a poor decision?mots02 wrote:Makes sense, he has a history of poor choicesWedgie wrote:Stengle signs on at Geelong for another 5 years at less than offered elsewhere.

Re: AFL 2024
Going to be an awesome run to finals with clubs from 5th to 13th all within 1 win/loss of each other. Fremantle & Essendon with a draw each keeping them in 3rd & 4th. Freo, Brisbane, Suns & Melbourne SHOULD be the only guaranteed winners out of those fighting for top 8 spots this weekend.

I think you mean he made the right choice to stay theremots02 wrote:Makes sense, he has a history of poor choicesWedgie wrote:Stengle signs on at Geelong for another 5 years at less than offered elsewhere.
Totally agree - he could easily have been languishing back in the suburban leagues getting in trouble because he wasn't given a fair go (to which I dont agree). Geelong have certainly helped him in life - let's hope it for life.

Re: AFL 2024
Ladder is very tight at the moment, only 2pts between 3rd and 13th.
I had GWS and GC making the 8, but I'm not so sure anymore.. feel like Brisbane will take a spot, and then it's a raffled between the Dogs, Port, GWS, GC and Melbourne.

That's a great deal for him and he's obviously worth it to Geelong.

Do a ladder predictor, I reckon there's at least 4 games every week you can't pick with any confidence.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

Re: AFL 2024
Tony Locket would struggle to get a goal in Port's forward line. Their disposal to the key forwards yesterday was possibly the worst I have ever seen in a game of AFL football. They were disgraceful.Dutchy wrote:Marshall is simply a high lead up forward, he should be playing 30-100 away from goal and never be inside 30, and has been a prime example of suffering under the current game plan.amber_fluid wrote:Port need more than a new coach to challenge for a premiership.
