Technically it was a plastic cup, the missus doesn't trust me with glass when I'm watching the cricket after she saw me kick the shit out of the couch after we lost the 2nd Ashes Test in 2005.

Ashwin 8 Wickets
Jadeja 7 wickets

Lyon 8
O'Keffe 3.... There is the difference in the match for me. Obviously M Marsh needs to go but its going to have to be Maxwell in as O'Keffe has showed this game he ins't a big threat. Maxwell's extra overs will be required.

Also on O'Keffe he averages 28 in FC but only 7 in Tests he needs to lift that.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Or Agar, he can't do any worse than Mong Marsh.

It's a fair chance of happening, those photos of the selectors he's got aren't fading any time soon.

And Lyon didn't get a wicket 2nd innings. SOK isn't going to rip through sides often but thought he bowled ok this test

What chance is Lyon to miss out? His finger looked rooted, he was really struggling to control the ball later in the 2nd dig, let alone give it a huge rip.

We're more corrupt than the Indians if he gets picked for the third test.

Yep Don't blame the bowlers.
The same batters let us down again.

Yep just one of those far too frequent days with the bat. Didn't help that we copped a couple of howlers either

Some of the media made a point of saying India was tired after losing the first test
Perhaps they can now say Australia was tired after losing the second test ?
Both teams have played a lot of cricket leading into this test series
Both teams in good form before the series started

Is fatigue or triedness really a factor , when matches in this series are not getting to a 5th day ?

I called it on Twitter last night when they were 60 runs ahead - we were "going to need balls of steel to finish this Test match with a win".
That partnership killed us. Starc and Hazlewood didn't quite get it right early and India got some crucial runs on the board.
The Warner review killed us, it meant Marsh was shy about reviewing his. Unless you're certain, I don't see why you'd ever review an opener's dismissal.
Sadly, we didn't have balls of steel and we lost.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Totally agree

The opening bowler partnership in the second innings killed us mainly due to the fact they couldn't bowl enough balls on the stumps

At the end of the day most of us thought we would be down 2-0 by now

The bowling attack has proved it can take 20 wickets in a match, Khawaja has to come in for Mitch Marsh.

Warner and Handscombe need to find a way to turn those 20's into 50's minimum

As per usual the toss is so crucial in India if we can bat first in the third test we are right back in this series

I didn't have a problem with the Warner review because it wasn't ******* out and he knew that. Shaun Marsh then cops a howler soon after and it's as good as over

You would like to think Smith didn't have his own interests at heart convincing Marsh not to review. Especially when he then potentially considers reviewing one of the plumbest lbw you will ever see

Not sure how true but pretty poor communication if true

Melinda Farrell [emoji818]@melindafarrell
Smith also says he didn't think S Marsh was out, told him to "go", meaning go for the review but Marsh misunderstood & walked off. #INDvAUS

Agreed again.

The start with the ball in the Indian second innings was poor and let them off the hook giving them the momentum to over come our lead. And with that we didn't fully capitalize after rolling India in the first innings, really should of built a bigger lead. We can't leave the door even slightly ajar for them.

We simply must play the six batsman in the third test.

That loss hurts but at least it wasn't a case of India dominating the whole match, they still had to play some exceptional cricket to beat us.

Redemption in about a weeks time.
