No mate, they help you do the brew, there's a "run sheet" recipe card to follow and they hold your hand the whole way through. Bottling and capping is easy as.

Do it, you'll never look back.

Only slight ( if it is ) draw back is having to keep / rinse the bottles before you go back but at $33-35 per carton it's a small price to pay!

If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Maybe work the other way around then, work out approx. how much it's going to cost for your holiday, then when you want to take the holiday, work out the amount monthly you need to put away and what ever is left over is your allowance and you just make that work.

Yep. Sanitising bottles is why ive still got 80L of beer in the FVs...
Once I get my tap on my kegerator sorted out I wont have to worry too much about bottling. Straight into the keg and drink...
Ill just bottle my dark ales/stouts for ageing.

Whatever you can afford to spend.

Work the other way.

I document every transaction I make (try to do everything on card and not cash) and then you know how much you are spending in certain areas.

Then categorise it into variable (shopping food entertainment) and fixed expenses (car, insurances, utilities)

Then you can work out how much you have left over and whether you can shave off money from here and there.

By doing that, I didn’t actually realise how much I was spending on eating out - lunch with work colleague, wife would go out for lunch with a friend, few coffees, then either a restaurant or take away on the weekend, sometimes both.

If we went to a nice restaurant it could easily get to $600+ a month. And it’s an expense you can easily cut down on if you wanna save etc.

Does anyone know somewhere you can sell old paper notes and get better than the face value the bank gives?

It depends on what they are and their condition.

I used Monetarium in the Adelaide Arcade to sell some coins.

They're in okay condition, I know jack about coins & notes and looked them up and they're Fraser/Cole notes but I don't think that means a great deal.

Thanks
