Oh gee, and I wasn't going to drink! Might be spending the arvo with Justy Platten too, so it could be 'danger, danger high voltage'
Don't want to be hungover when I'm flying up to Noosa the next day.
What's the cost to get in then?

Can anybody back-up the rumour that Glenunga may be merging with one of the college sides, possibly PAC, thus keeping Hectorville in Div 5???

I've also heard a rumour about PAOC possibly folding, so maybe there is some substance to it.

Some of the better Southern Footy League teams could play Div 2.

Mitchell Park where about a div 5/6 team at there best, so i guess its fair to say that some of the bigger clubs could play div 2. Still thats a big call Blue boy. div 3 or 4 easy.....

I'd say that the good Southern League clubs would be of Div 2 standard. Some of the middle sides would be Div 3 and the tail would be about Div 5.

the bottom clubs in southern league would be an average div 7 team, we came bottom of div six and smashed hackham by about 20 goals in a trial

Hackham (Southern Hawks) probably would struggle in Div 5 but they would probably be the only exception.

Understand your point but I think that you would find that all these clubs would be fairly competitive in Div 5. Hackham and Aldinga would probably still be struggling but I think they would be more competitive than they are in the Southern League.

Yes they would be more competetive in div 5 than the southern league, but still i believe that would more of a mid div 6 team.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

The overriding factor is distance. Aldinga probably should be in Great Southern but they don't want us (ie the President of the league is from Willunga). The Amatuers is not realistic nor the hills country due to driving times. As a club you have to consider your juniors also and their parents.

That leaves the Southern. Lucky us. Although we are trying and things are improving.

I completely agree with you backliner I was just trying to highlight that the Southern League would be one of the strongest leagues in the State and that even the bottom sides of 2006 Hackham and Aldinga would be competitive in Div 5. I have no doubt that Alding are on the improve but yes they should be in the GSFL.

Yeah I would probably agree Hackham would probably be more of a Div 6 standard. I think you will find that Aldinga will be more competitive in 2007 as they have got some recruits or so I hear.

I reckon they'll struggle in div. 7.

PAOC had a fair odd 15 years since.

Glenunga seem to have got themselves in a reasonable position also.
