Re: 2013/14 BIG BASH
Lose half a game to rain, you've still got to try to get a deserving winner if possible Lose 2 1/2 days in a test you don't chuck in the rest of the game. Would it have been better to have no winner and send the higher side through without earning it? 6 overs or whatever it was is very short I understand, but the formula yet again came up with a fair number to chase IMHO and the winner was decided on merit.

Well what else do you do.
That's the game but you still watched it.
End of the day the best side on the night won.
Can't complain with that can ya?
Quality value for money for the punters... 20 overs is short enough let alone 5...

So what are they supposed to do - extend the hours of the game? Serious question, it is a possibility in T20s. Guess at some point it becomes too late for their core demographic, kids.

Start a bit earlier finish a bit later - if they are aiming it a purely kids then they should start the games at 4.30 so they will be finished before Fat Cat goes to bed.
What next they have a game of 1 over each? So they can fleece some money out of the public and have a 'just result'

Lol. Your argument is getting more and more silly.
Of course having 6 overs only isn't ideal but what else are you supposed to do.
Now please, we all know your hatred of T20 or is it T6?

Well said bennymacca some people act like we've never had rain & D/L methods before just to try and find another reason to bag T20.
What would've been annoying is if the Sixers couldn't bat at all due to the rain as the home team they would've advanced to the final despite the Scorchers big score. At least this way the team that should've gone through did.

Just like when a team draws a test they are well behind in because of rain. Its part of the game - be the highest ranked side and you won't have an issue.
Maybe we should have a super over at the end of a drawn test to get a 'fair' result.

The difference being of course there isn't a tournament involving Test matches where someone 'has to win' like with one-day tournaments and T20 tournaments.
Next you'll be complaining about the coloured clothing they wear in T20's!

Finally the catcher for the home viewer is in a realistic location.
