Re: Round 11 - Norwood v Glenelg @ Coopers Stadium (Sat 21/6
I have been working the last few weekends but finally got away see see the Legs this week.
Spot on Fester as % will be a massive factor come finals .... making the finals and top 3 which Norwood must achieve to have a real change of 3 in a row.
Glenelg supporters must be bitterly disappointed ( again ) with the results this year as the recruiting seemed to be good preseason. Losing cultures are hard to shed.

It all comes down to 'good news' & 'bad news'.
The bad news for all clubs is that we suspect you are correct 'matt35', we really do need to rip out hearts and arteries when they're presented.
This game supplies the template for a thoroughly re-built Norwood to show their wares in spades. Hunt , kill, destroy, is of the esscence.
A failure to do so will negate our current impetus and fill all opposition flag aspirees with final feeding frenzy confidence.
I firmly believe Norwood will make the top 3, but we will only go further if we win this game by at least 100+ points.
Our new coach and players must learn to destroy susceptible teams now to avoid any September doubts and re-instill arrogant confidence.
Alas, the good news for Glenelg (& others), is that I'm only tipping a 6 to 8 goal victory.
But the bad news is, I predict we have the stock for our re-build NOW, ....... so ....... I'm expecting a (minimum) 12 goal victory !!!
Luv,
Sabre.

Worried about the rain dragging us back down to Norwood's level. Bays by two goals still though!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Worried that by half time I will not have consumed enough of the sponsor's produce in order to care less about the scoreboard.
I do not anticipate this still being a problem by full time.
Norwood by a carton of sparkling ale.

I will not be arriving at the ground until about 1/4 time. I genuinely believe that, if we play well, we could still be within 5 goals at that stage. I really hope I'm proven wrong and we can put on a good showing.

Re: Round 11 - Norwood v Glenelg @ Coopers Stadium (Sat 21/6
Due to other commitments, I left at Half time (of the League) but could of left at half time of the Ressies - who only kicked 2 goals for the game. At least the League team had 3 goals to half time.
66 points down at the main break, lost by 118 - do we take the 2nd half as a win?
McCarthy is rubbish - those who saw his 1st Qtr kick in would agree. Why drop and play an actual forward to the Reserves - where he played ruck and in defence? Head of Football Development might actually want to start developing and not do everything else.
Today was just another debacle, I don't expect a "not acceptable" email because we know that it wasn't acceptable.

Thank goodness, I don't know how I coped the previous 44 years supporting just one SANFL team. If they win it's great, if not, we just put it down to development. Happy days.

One of the joys of not being a member is that I no longer have to suffer through "excuse emails" from the club.
Anyone suffering the illusion that all norwood supporters are high class should be forced to catch the H22 bus after the game. OH MY LORD...
However as I type this I am sitting on a footy express train surrounded by lesser life forms clad in uggs, coiffed in mullets and sporting teal clothing. I have just learned several new definitions of the word "feral".

Missed the corresponding game last year having my gall bladder out, would have gladly given up my spleen to miss today's effort.

I am still in possession of an intact vas deferens. Perhaps I shall organise to get it severed the next time we play at Norwood.

30km round trip to see a 20 goal debacle. Have to say it was a lonely place to be as a Glenelg supporter, lucky to have been 50 of us there. The gap in class and endeavour was absolutely enormous. Just totally embarrassing!
I'll be stunned if there's more than 1300 at the next home game.
