Gayle escapes a review that initially looked plumb, then the replay suggested it was out

then the computer suggested the ball was only clipping the bails, after seeing that, I can understand how the Indians don't like it...that was out!

WI finished their innings at 2/372

Old mate Gayle made 215 off 147 balls with 16 sixes.

Marlon Samuels played the anchor role, 133 off 156.

WI were 1/0 after the first two deliveries of the innings.

Shane Warne doing his best to keep Australian cricket about him. Looks like he'll go down in history as a great player, sh!t bloke. Just wish he'd at least try to make it look like he was just trying to help.

Listening to World Cup commentary has been quite refreshing. It really does reinforce how much of a Boy's Club Nine's commentary team has become. It also reinforces why any more than two commentators on at the same time is overkill.

You reminded me of this article:

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2015/feb/13/channel-nine-destroying-cricket-legacy

In the Adelaide Test after a high-profile funeral, Steve Smith produced a moment of poetry, walking halfway to the boundary during his century celebration to salute the 408 painted large on the Oval turf. That footage will be forever twinned with Nine’s soundtrack, as Brayshaw mustered “I think he might be walking over to the number here to recognise Phillip Hughes and that’s… terrific stuff.”

Tees off on Brayshaw in the rest of the article.

I must say I do enjoy it when a commentator actually takes about the game.

David Warner now in the press about Brendan McCullum

*You get some obscure swear words and a couple of things thrown at you playing NZ, but thats what you expect when you come here
* They can give it to me as much as they want.I'll just get it on board and let my bat do the talking

* Its not by fluke or chance[McCullum] has come out and scored runs...but if we bowl well to him we'll create pressure and he'll have a brain explosion

The one thing I will say
David can say whatever he likes whenever he likes
When he is performing , he wont be totally scrutinized
However
The inevitable will happen, he will lose form at some stage in his career
The critics will surface , and the keyboard warriors, perhaps with some justification will be in force

O'Brien rescuing Ireland.
Emirati bowler a tad unlucky earlier in the innings, bail dislodged and stumps lit up but bail landed back in the groove perfectly

Only saw the final 6 overs but what a ripper. And to think the ICC wants to cut the number of teams for the next WC

I am happy for the same amount of teams to be included, what they need to cut is the length of the tournament. No more than 4 or 5 day breaks are required and the whole thing can be wrapped up inside a month.

Teams can play every 3-4 days. Should be atleast 2 games per day.
Cant believe tomorrow being a Friday and there is 1 game on, just beggars belief
