Re: Australia v NZ - Test Series
Surely Rod Marsh needs to step down considering his massive conflict of interest. It is getting ridiculous.
I apologise.

What conflict of interest Spangas?
But there does seem to be little courage and adventure, and too much conservatism in their selections, which is quite surprising from someone like Rod Marsh.

Re: Australia v NZ - Test Series
Probably thinks Rod is dad.
Going into the third test with what feels like 4 batsmen. M. Marsh looks handy with the ball, but his batting at 6 looks like it's going downhill and it wasn't that great to start with. Nevill is offering something but looks to me like a traditional 30 average keeper. Might even end up batting after Starc.

Re: Australia v NZ - Test Series
Shaun Marsh, for f**k sake that shits me to tears. What a joke, I'm going to pray he fails. Bloody hell Usman why you do this
Good to see Pattinson in the squad, will his body hold up? No it won't, they better pick Siddle.
O'Keefe is the second best spinner in the country so at least the selectors got something right.

Pattison def in. Hopefully stay fit.
Batting wise, who knows.Everyone wants someone different.
If Bancroft comes in, he has to open, so Burns could go to 4.
Agar ain't going to replace Mitch Marsh, they have brought SOK into the squad as second spin option so that shows that Agar isn't in the mix
Yeah, no way is Agar in the mix at the moment. Maxwell or Faulkner would probably be the guys to take Mitch Marsh's spot.

It would be a COI if Dan and Paul were getting selected.
Rod isn't related to Geoff, thereby not related to Mitch or Shaun.

Re: Australia v NZ - Test Series
Missed a chance to do something exciting and getting Dean in there. For all purposes a dead rubber, his rise has been pretty impressive already, and in super form.
Oh well, is Marsh the new Watto? With less strings to the bow?

No strings at all, just a bowed piece of wood.

Rod isn't related to Geoff, thereby not related to Mitch or Shaun.
You learn something new everyday. I had always assumed Rod and Geoff were related and that played a part in the obsession with picking Shaun.
This makes Shaun's continued selection even harder to take now!

Re: Aus. v NZ - Test Series / Shaun Marsh Appreciation Threa
However, selectors didn’t want to blood a debutant against New Zealand in the three-Test series finale.
“Shaun Marsh more recently in Test match cricket has made a contribution so that’s the way we decided to go,” Lehmann said. “He’s made some runs and contributions.
“I still remember that great hundred he got against South Africa at Centurion. So as a selection panel it was tight.
“There’s been a lot of speculation about Bancroft and Klinger - and they’re both very unlucky.” Marsh has played 15 Tests, averaging 33.11.
He totalled two runs in his most recent Test outing, at Trent Bridge where Australia surrendered the Ashes urn earlier this year.
“That was a pretty poor Test match for us as a whole,” Lehmann said.
“That’s the past.
“He’s been in and out as well which makes it tough for him.
“He’ll still want to prove himself again.
“He gets a couple of Test matches here and we’ll see how he goes.”

Please give me some credit. I'm only ignorant enough to think Rod was his uncle. I should probably learn to Google.
Makes Shaun Marsh's selection based on incompetence now instead of relationships.
I apologise.
