Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 6 - 2017
Haven't heard much about the Lakes and as we all know they will be competitive. Especially at home where they know how to play that ground very well. Also depends on who plays this year. If they have the likes of Kennett, Novosel, King and co then they will push really hard. Will Reidy play in the A's? Who knows. But if he does, his experience and skill will be very handy. Plus also, they have picked up a few lads as well. So it will be a good first hit out. Looking forward to the clash. Bring on round 1.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 6 - 2017
You talk yourselves down too much B4E.
Mawson Lakes were competitive in patches last year, but this year have lost McCammon, Wills, Carr, Pointon, Ralph, Thach.. it's a lot of top end players to replace.
Losing Rae, Williams, Covino will impact their depth, and who knows if MacDonald and Pearce go around again.
Houghton will win and win easy if the weather is favourable.. Cam Schutz will have a day out feasting in the ruck..

Mawson Lakes v Houghton Districts
The rivalery builds on from last season where the Raiders knocked off the Lakes by 1 pt and then 2pts during the regular season. Both side finished out of the 5 but did enough on the last day of the season to aviod relegation.
Mawsons have lost mid Andy Carr to West Croydon while adding a few blokes from all over the place.
Houghton lost star mid Wade Vandermoer back to Pooraka aswell as Dolan and Kamenic. But have been boasted with new coach Brenton Klaebe and what he has brought to the club in his own son Dan Klaebe aswell well as a few young blokes looking for better oppitunites to play a grade footy.
The ruck and midfield battle is the key to this one with Cam Schutz and Mccammon going head to head and McMurtrie, Davis and Keetch against King, Kennett plus some of the new recruits.
Novosel will be dangerous as always up forward and will need a good match up.
Being a bit bias in this one i think we can get the points and get off to a great start to the season.
Houghton 15pts

Was just a question settle down!I heard whispers a while back he might be moving on, and i've seen clubs do that before - appoint a captain to keep them. Regardless it's a good appointment and good for Houghton to have him still. I've always felt a key position forward who can significantly impact games can be great leaders.
So umm the question is - was I on the money back in November?

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 6 - 2017
Unfortunately these things happen in footy. There's no point getting upset and thinking about it all the time. Best thing to do is to move on in a positive way and re-focus on the game on the weekend. It now opens up another opportunity to other players that may not have had it previously which is also a positive outcome. We will still be strong up forward. Congrats to Nathan Hall on his appointment as A grade captain. He is a fierce and very competitive player who I know will lead the club well and will annoy a lot of opposing teams coaches. Well done bud and I know you'll do well.
