The best thing for Sayers has been that he was not selected for this match, has not had to bowl on this pitch.

Bird now will probably never play a Test again, while Sayers will now be next in line, hopefully play at SCG, then get a chance in South Africa (which will be massive loss for Redbacks!).

been saying for ages our batting deficiencies get hidden alot because we get one or two that get big 100's, we have too many that get 15-30 regularly, be interested to see what happens if Bancroft, Usman and M Marsh fail in the 2nd dig here if they are retained
